For me then theyve failed, I was interested in getting a 360 for Forza 4 but looking at what theyve showcased at THE gaming media event of the year, Im just 'meh'E3 is not the be all and end all, it's just used to promote sales, create hype in whatever market they feel fit, the hardcore games are still there. 360's biggest games hardly need promoting so much these days, they sell no matter what. They are aiming at the family market this year, but that sits right along side normal games.
You would say Sony are moving away from home consoles if you take their press conference as it was, all about the portable really and a TV......
I actually think your point is poorly made as they showed arguably their biggest games of the year/near future and it leaves you wondering where everything else is. Same thing happened last year but was expected with the Kinect launch - this year seems just as poor...
Its the same with Sony, both companies just arent doing/showcasing enough to make them overwhelmingly attractive to prospective owners...
