*** E3 2011 Thread ***

I watched a bit of the MS conference, but haven't watched much else from E3 this year - where do people recommend for streaming the Ninty conference - Gamespot?

Gotta say im so hyped for the Ninty conference i expect the cafe or whatever to be a bigger leap tech wise than we think. COME ON hurry up!

Wouldn't be funny if it wasn't really mentioned much...just a 5 mins at the end mentioning a brief spec and showing of the Unit? :p

Actually that woudn't be funny at all :(

Hoping to see some sheer awesomeness from Nintendo, hopefully catering for the hardcore! I doubt they can get away with not really showing too much on it since with what has been leaked about it and the hype built up around this then to disappoint would be the wrong decision.

I think we'll see a new Zelda trailer to begin with, maybe some gameplay.

Some highlights on what is still to come on Wii...so 30 seconds of filler :p

A lot of talking up the 3DS and a lot of new software, will be a response to the Vita of course.

Hopefully....and I say hopefully, they dedicate quite a bit of time to Cafe and we get a lot of details of launch etc out there. They really need to start the build up to launch today and have everyone whetting their appetites.

Some tech/live demos of the new systems capability is a must as well as being able to showcase some form of 3rd Party support.

Really Nintendo could give us an unforgettable show tonight and I just hope this lives up to the expectations. Lifelong Nintendo fan and would love to see them deliver a true fan service today and get me excited about the new console! :)

Worst E3 rumor I have heard this year. "The new Nintendo console AKA Project Cafe will be called "Nintendo"

I watched the Microsoft Conference late last night, and have watched the EA and Sony shows this morning.

Overall, I've got to say, nothing has made me go 'wow' in the same way you got excited at christmas as a kid. There has been some impressive stuff but that's about as far as things have gone.

- I'm so glad that Kinect is being used for some hardcore games now. I really like the use of the speach recogniition in Mass Effect and the GunSmith interface for Ghost Recon looks really slick. I'll definitely pick up Kinect when these games start hitting the shelves in the next year or so.

- The Vita looked like a nice bit of kit. Although, they didn't announce a price for the UK did they? I have a feeling i'll be importing one, as i have a hunch it will work out cheaper.

- The quip from the guy at the Ea conference about not using random celebs was righty true. i really don't care, i want the games.

- The Sony TV and glasses looks interesting. I wonder how that will turn out.

- I think there were some notable games missing from the Sony Conference this year, it really looks like they were focusing on the Vita.

- I don't really care for Modern Warfare or COD anymore, it's been done to death.

- I thought the Kinect Star Wars game didn't look that impressive tbh. It doesn't really look like a step up from the likes of the Playstation Move and Wiimote.

I'm really hoping Nintendo pulls a golden rabbit out of their hat tbh. *Crosses fingers*.

Just seen it, its a VR console with it's own play space, you can touch and feel the game around you.

It's amezzing.

The 'Cafe' will have a 360 degree treadmill peripheral, so you can walk in all directions and go nowhere.

I have no hope for Nintendo unless they release a hardcore console. 1080p graphics. No bull**** touch/moving please. Powerhouse, good games with good graphics would do me.

Actually it could be a good thing.

Think of the great Nintendo Consoles:

Nintendo Entertainment System
Nintendo 64
Nintendo Gamecube

Then you had the Wii. No Nintendo really present in the name and a lot of shovelware.

Calling the Wii2 Nintendo could be a sign of returning to a loyal fan base. This console won't really interest a casual market.

The Kinect aiming on Ghost Recon looked brilliant, as did ME3 squad commands and 3D drawing. Definate purchase for me now!

Microsoft really knew about it being televised this year! Talk about changing your content for your target audience, few mentions of normal stuff with a load of Kinect stuff throughout.

Haven't watched Sony conference yet, anything of note or just constant apologies & same footage of the same three games from the past two year?
