E46 USB Audio

Yeah, I was talking about the original. If memory serves, I think it was £100. I then got a pre Intravee II in late 2005 and I think that was about the same.

Sniping! LOL. Don't flatter yourself. I was just commenting that the information is easy enough to obtain about the CD Changer even on Intravee's website.

Indeed, I was one of the first few people to use an intravee (in the early test stages, my goodness it was buggy back then, but a lot cheaper too!) :)

Why would the intravee website have details about the BMW changer on it, you have to bin the changer to use it anyway. Just not sure of The point in your post? I provided some information to somebody when asked, somebody else commented on that, and then you come along literally 2 months later to tell everyone how my information was 'not impressive'.

Great, have a cookie?

I thought the build dates for MP3 compliant changers would be useful info to post.

Ahh right, that sounds more like it. I have Intravee II number 109 which I got in 2006 thats why I was querying it. ;)

mmm intravee ii on ebay mmm

Man they are like hens teeth :(

Question: I take it you need to first disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before installing this? Does disconnecting the battery not mess up the ecu or anything? Is it safe to disconnect and then when finished, reconnect it and the car is fine like nothing happened?

With my luck I'll probably end up spiking the electrical system and blowing odd things here n there

Do you have a mk3 nav unit? If so you have to be careful if you do ever disconnect the battery. There is a certain sequence you need to follow so not to screw it up.

Intravee should be with me Wednesday :) Crikey can't wait although I need to get an ipod now - didn't expect things to progress so quickly and smoothly :)

So to confirm I don't need to disconnect the battery at all when installing it?

Did you get a KCA-420i yet? How much are they these days?

And no, you don't need to disconnect the battery - I must have unplugged/plugged in my Intravee a hundred times and I have the earlier one with a low rated fuse. :-)

No, you don't need to disconnect anything but your CD changer.

Thanks  - comes with the kca420i and both cables

Now to get an ipod - Is the Ipod Classic 4th generation the best to get as you can disable deep sleep?

Assuming that the M5 in the sig is yours, it's a facelift isn't it? Are you sure you need the A>D converter?

Intravee II installed and working absolutely perfectly*

Updated it to latest firmware and using a 4th gen Ipod Classic 60gig which I've already filled.

Very glad Fox convinced me to go the Intravee Route

I was even able to set the mirrors to fold when locking and unfold upon ignition start - bonus

*Touchwood in case I jinxed it
