HI there

Just managed to source a load of E6700's OEM, so anybody wanting to change orders or who wants an E6700 get ordering now.

Stock arrives with us tomorrow as long as couriers don't mess up so orders will ship Friday for delivery Monday unless Saturday delivery is choosen. :)

hmmm this one has me tempted...

EDIT: although they are only £10 cheaper than the Retail while the OEM 6300's are £15 cheaper than their retail equivalents... how come?

Our cost price is the same as Retail thats why, distributors know how much demand there is for them so are basically ripping all us Etailors off. :(

i'm really not loving these distributors at the moment.. thanks for the heads up Gibbo, think i'll take the plunge and upgrade to the 6700.

EDIT: Guess they are now as I just changed my order :)

I really can't spend an extra £150 for an E6700 when the only difference to E6600 is a slightl up in clockspeed.

Any chance of sourcing some E6600 OEM Gibbo? I'll add you to my friends for life calender :D

gah hmmmmm im so tempted to change my order for a 6700 but is it really worth the extra 150 quid over the 6600???

Just rang up and upgraded my order, am off to Florida in 2 weeks and cant spend the time with a half built rig! You do get the benefit of the higher multiplier but not sure if that is a big deal with Conroes like it was with the Athlon64s

You wont need as much FSB so if your going to be clocking it gives you more choice of motherboards.

Not really, no.

I thought about it for about 2 seconds then decided to hold out for the 6600. The extra money for such a small gain is really not worth it.

scary isn't it that everyone who has a 6600 on order wants it now and willing to pay a extra 150 just to have a 6700 there by monday when the chip isn't much faster and the 6600 is a better overclocker (well thats what ive heard) can't say i haven't thought about it though but my 3700 will be ok for a week i think :P

Exactly, that £150 is worth a Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB!

I suppose I saved £50 when I RMA'd my Bad Axe and got a Gigabyte DS4 instead so for me its £100 and added to that it will be handed down in 6 months for my second gaming rig so its not really a waste of money as that one is never overclocked... Now I am wondering who I am trying to convince!!!
