Is 85 Tjunct right for a G0, Coretemp 0.94 doesnt even recognise the E4xxx conroes. 0.95 is better.

If G0's are anything like the E4xxx's then your 15 degrees short on that. IE 74 degrees!

More details please weescott, also a screenie would paint the picture nicely! ;)

At your request:

I let Orthos run for an hr and got bored. Pretty sure its stable at 3640mhz. 1.525v IIRC. Maximum Speed to keep it under 70c load.

Maximum overclock to for 3D mark 06 was 3.8Ghz, a lot tougher to get stable than 01...funnily enough, the CPU test is a killer. 3D mark 03 is slightly easier to get stable requiring less voltage. 1.625v as opposed to 1.65 in 06.

Motherboard used is a p5k Deluxe with latest bios.

Your not supposed to sit and watch it prime! :D

Unless you give it a thorough test you will never be sure and neither will the viewers! :p

Looks promising though ;)

Just ordered one of these along with 2 gig of OCZ pc6400 ram and a Asus P5K-e.
Will be running on water and hoping for 3.5GHz +

Got to wait till thursday though :(
Unlikely to get a chance to build it until saturday either.

3.5 is easy. Might as well go with the trend and try for 3.6 straight off. ;)

Hey PinkFloyd, were u not running a Quad Xeon?
I was and I sold it to a mate before the price drops came in.
He won't let me buy it back off of him now its worth half as much as he paid for it though :(

I'd love to see what that chip could have done with water.

Guess I can aim for 3.6 to start off with instead. Gotta set my loop up when I get the other bits though. Second rad and a Swiftech Stealth coming this week :D

Lol I don't follow? Are you saying you sold him the chip before the price drop and now you are trying to buy it back off him for half price? :D

Yeh he's not having none of it sadly ;)

I miss all my xeons, I started the summer with a dual processer setup, and a quad core xeon. Haven't got any of them anymore :(
Until this e6750 turns up I'm running a cripplised core2duo (e2160) and my lappy is only a coreduo.

Bah - I can't get my A stepping 6750 to Super-Pi stable on both cores at 3.2GHz - it's totally rubbish even at 1.35V.

Do I have any rights to return it because it doesn't clock or will I have to sell it because it does what it says on the box.

Deffo think it's time to sell and cough up for the Quad or try to find a B stepping one.

C2D's aren't sold on there potential overclocking performance so your bang out of luck on that score.

Figured - How dissappointing that it's such a gamble buying these things online. I think I'm going to have to head down to my local Computer shop to see if I can hand pick a B stepping.
