EAFC 25

He can also try out UFL Football and eFootball for free, if it's not to his liking.
Ha, if PES still existed in its old form, he'd be playing that! eFootball is horrendous. I'm more worried about him getting sucked into the packs addiction and Ultimate Team.

I just watched a gameplay vid of UFL, doesn't look too bad actually! Hopefully a worth competitor in the space.

Yeah if I had a child, they'd get packs during black friday or toty release week only (higher odds for something good) otherwise no chance. I hear about peoples kids begging for Fortnite Cosmetics at work :D so probably nothing you can do once it's just his parents left with the consequences.

I've always got suckered in to spending at least £120 a year on the packs only to abandon the game

New live tuning update EA FC25

Players will take more touches while "Jogging".

Reduced accuracy from first time power shots.

Reduced accuracy from contested headers.
its ok. when it really matters i.e. weekend league you won't get a chance to find out as the build up play is so slow you'll never get in a positon to do any powershots.

I have noticed I start hitting goal posts a lot now with the power shots. Seems they have nerfed power shots as well but they are still effective enough at the moment. I suppose that's how they should be to start with.

My son gets nothing for EA FC and he knows I never spend on it. I see Black Friday / TOTY as a dangerous slope to embark on, so I just have a blanket rule of never spending a penny on FP. I consider FIFA particularly bad because it has an annual reset so literally everything you pack is worthless within a year, I could kinda understand spending money to get something in a game where it still might be useful or unique in a few years time.

He has spent a bit of his own money on Fortnite, which I consider a waste but I'm from a generation where online games had no cosmetics or microtransactions, you just applied your own player skin if you wanted one.

Sadly it's more entrenched than ever especially in free to play games including UFL and eFootball.

I need to have that discipline after how much I've disliked this years game. (I've played it less and less in the last 4 years) now to finally stop buying it all together I think.

Grafted on this last couple days even played fut champs first time in months. Ze Roberto has been a joke to play against every trivela has gone in... I've had 4 winter wild card picks and got SULE every time how is that even possible?

I just can't bring myself to pay anything for it tbh - after all, if you buy it for UT, you aren't actually buying it but renting it for a season!

When EAFC 26 is released UT will simply die a death!
It can still be pretty good value though in terms of hours played. Assuming they play say 420 hours in the remainder of the cycle that works out at 5p per hour. Or ignoring playtime about £2.50 a month until fc26 comes out. Plenty of people pay more than that for subscription services.
