I take it all back playing champs now; it's ******* horrid. Its back to the point where it feels like you're playing against the connection rather than the opponent

Yeah for me, I have to play after midnight for the best conditions, also I've stopped playing after last weekend
It’s awful, gameplay is awful, delay is awful and it just compounds. It’s got to the point where it’s just a power shot simulator. On the brink of quitting myself, we need a patch more than ever.

I am so glad that I managed to stop playing this steaming pile of turd a few years ago. It's just hours and hours of wasted time "grinding" (and/or serious money for some people) and frustration.
EA tapped into something special, because I don't know how such a bad product can still be so successful. I've also never had a game that made me as angry as FIFA used to.

The game is just pure misery isn't it. It's such a shame.
Rewards are generally crap and the majority of cards are pretty cheap now, so you end up with cards from 20k-300k that are all much of a muchness, and the good ones are all 1m+, the best ones like Mbappe 2m+.
You never end up building up enough coins to get any really worthwhile upgrades. SBC's are seriously lacking this year, as are any kind of league SBC's. They are just focused on overloading the store with promo packs. Evo's are mostly pointless.
I played a few games last night and genuinely almost all the goals were some sort of pressure-induced glitch, or kick off goals, finesse shot spam or rebounds. That includes in my favour too. The only way to really be consistent is to abuse the hell out of game mechanics, and that's nothing new, but it seems worse than usual. Gameplay speed varies massively too, if you play late at night it feels twice as responsive as peak time.
Even persistent and enthusiastic players like Boras look pretty broken when playing it lately.

It’s in a bad way, there’s a majority of people who would go 20-0 struggling for 10 wins. It’s way too RNG now, as you say the only way you win is broken mechanics however my issue is the broken mechanics can only be done by certain players.
Currently the power shot and finesse shot is the only sure way of scoring if you don’t have them in your team it’s over.
Second gripe is the roles, the attacking AI is embarassing and I can only assume it’s due to the roles +
Thirdly every tackle or interception you make goes back to attacker is an abomination of a game currently.

Do you always play during peak hours?
Midnight to 7am is the only time the game feels acceptable for me.
2 weeks without touching the game now personally.
I have been the past few nights, but Friday evening especially, FUT was utterly unplayable. Last night was marginally better.
I've actually quite enjoyed FUT this year, but the constant menu crashes are a joke for a company the size of EA.
I'm finding 3ATB is really poor this year. I've used it twice, first time I failed to qualify for WL 8 times in a row (for context I've qualified every single WL in 2024 first or second attempt, so the last 40+ except that one), then again this week and started off 0-9 in WL (normally get 5-7 wins in the new format). I ended up with 3 wins which is my lowest of all time after switching to 5ATB which means even the Richarlison objective will require 7 wins next week. I used to average 11 wins in FIFA23 and 10 in FC24. It was crazy stuff, I remember I lost 0-8 in the 6th and 7th matches which seems nonsense as I should've been playing people with -5 and -6 form they shouldn't be the hardest matches.
Generally I seem to be struggling to break teams down, and throw away so many leads. I've lost a lot of games where I haven't felt outclassed (which obviously happens sometimes) but I keep somehow losing the ball after doing a tackle or the defender 'locks on' to a run to the wrong place so is ignoring controller input.
Not sure where to go next, I've never quit UT before the next version comes out before but I might this time. Whatever I'm doing, it isn't working, maybe I need to experiment a bit more with Roles rather than just picking their best roles.
