Earthquake?

Just had the whole house shake for a good 3 seconds enough to rattle the lamp shades, etc. (like magnitude 3 quake type power) for a moment thought it was the neighbours moving something heavy but they are out and all the birds suddenly took fright and took off at the same time.

I'm in the middle of Somerset near Yeovil.

Wonder if its related to the massive ongoing rifting off Iceland at the moment.

Looks like a magnitude 5 somewhere in South Wales at extreme depth.

EDIT: This has been going on in Iceland last few days so possibly related - not sure the setup of the plates/faults but at this level its probably going to start causing things to settle elsewhere:

I am in between the 2 areas and felt nothing.

Would be interested to know where the epicenter of that was and what magnitude. A lot.of. them.are so small in the UK we hardly notice on its rare occasion

Seen mention it was magnitude 5 around 100km depth near Cardiff not sure any more details.

Saying 10km depth on there - would have thought that magnitude would have been a bit more dramatic nearer the epicentre at that depth.
