I made sure I took measurements of the speakers holes my neighbour kindly cut for me with his diamond saw:D As they will be buried with plasterboard and then skimmed over:eek: and then finally cutout using templates you can download form Monitor Audio's website

Have decided to go for inwall speakers form the monitor audio CP range due to them being installed in block work.

Note: The different places I had hacked out of the wall as I was undecided on what I was doing with the plugs and sockets lol :o

I did make some last minute changes. I moved the WF100 cables for sky HD and the Cat 6 for network to the left hand wall as I want nothing on the wall other than the TV and inwall speakers.

I wanted to move away for the Rack under the TV scenario I did in my first home cinema build (see Sig) as this is more of a "loungy" install with bar area. Space is limited and I wanted to hide all the AV equipment away in a cabinet on the side wall next door to the propsed L-Shaped Sofa.

All TV installs in the house leads back to the server room

Pumping Sky HD around the new house build.

Installation of 60" Satalite Dish
Freeview Digital Arial
Quattro LNB
24 port Multi Switch
24 port 1GIG Network switch

I have run WF100 shotgun cable into as first pictured to allow for Sky HD Freeview HD and Dab in every room along with 2 Cat 6 cables. This should feed the whole house and stream HD content, Intenet TV etc.. from the Homeserver currently sitting at 14TB in storage.

All this cabling leads back to the study where I will install a 19" rack comms cabinet.

Study just plastered...Tested working

I ran 2 WF100 shotgun cables to the Loft along with 2 x earth wires...one from the dish and one to the Electric Junction Box..The system will run 12 x Sky HD + boxes or 24 standard Sky boxes

I will update thread with pics. Rate and subscribe to this thread if you are ineterested.

I've never considered this, with sky mulitroom is it 1 payment (£10 or what ever) then you can add as many boxes as you like??

Moving away from the Centre under the TV cabinet...Been looking at the Lack Hack for the AV amp Sky and HTPC

Mine won't be as High and in the corner doubling as a coffee table but you get the idea at 7.49 each The lack can make a great av rack :p

my god have i really been on these forums that long ?

it seems like only last year that you started building your last one. Looking back it was 4 years ago now ! how time flies. Look forward to the updates :)

Coming from someone that used to install those in-wall speakers, make sure you 1) test them before fitting 2) don't mind the destruction if they die / need repair.

Otherwise, good luck :D
