Have you abandoned the in-wall speaker idea?

No, I just haven't had the spare funds to do it after finishing the house.

So I have been using my Tannoys...They sound fabulous though...So Its hard justifying the in walls. Having said that I do want in walls as I took the trouble to cut the holes when building the house.

If I can sell the Tannoys in MM I can have the go ahead to spend the cash

Ah ok, I saw the speakers change from the little bookshelf (Denons?) to the floor standers and thought they were new.

Them denons are surprisingly good for the size..But no,the Tannoys have not been bought in new to replace the in wall plan.

I am currently trying to secure a deal for

3 x WT150-LCR

and

2 x CWT-160

I'm surprised they aren't enclosed in any way - I appreciate that you gain an advantage from being able to use the volume of the wall as a cabinet but it must make it really hard to make them sound the same if the walls you're putting them in are a bit different.

I'd also be concerned that they would fill up with crap quite easily.

Monitor audio do some controlled performance in wall speakers.

with sealed backs I am toying with the idea still
