The phase unit I bought has gone back for modification....Basically to silence it.

This is just to give an idea what I'm doing....

The phase is having a new top on it with a new hole cut and the line is being lengthened.

The line will come in behind the PSU

The fan grill is going and it will be replaced with a black one.

A side window will be added and I might powder coat the inside of the case.

Its a way of painting it. The surface it electrostatically charged, a powder paint is then sprayed on and the the whole thing is finally baked to attach the paint.

Nice setup easyrider. Not as good as mine though. :p Whats Gray doing to silence it you know?

Yes its not as good as yours lol.

Not spent as much as you lol ;)

Hes changing the compressor, twaeking the gas and fans,

It will still have superior performance to that of a Mach II or vapochill though but with very low noise, :D

looks great!

Keep us updated with lots of pics

P.S: I really wanted that case I just thought I would cover it in fingerprints, I noticed you didn't remove the plastic coating yet! :D

I'll be drilling the case etc....

Leaving it on for protection.

@Gangster if you pass by....Thanks ;)

Must have been pretty loud before. Good choice I think, sounds like a great unit. As long as you don't sacrifice too much performance.

I have been assured it will have vastly superior performance to a Mach II and vapo :)

Shouldnt you put the Phase unit ABOVE the tower on the P180, as you could just dremmel a hole through the top for the head, rather than having to route it through the PSU area, or around the side of the case? Wouldnt require the line to be lengthened either!

Otherwise..... looks COOL! :D

The unit is modded already for upwards or downwards line placement

The unit is to heavy for being on top.

Plus it looks pap. :p

The Picture is just an illustration the line will go underneath at the back of the PSU.

Will be fine. Bit of DC4 in the socket and around the base of the donut to get a good seal and its fine.
Using neoprene + vaseline to seal the P5B and havent had any probs under countless hours of Phase/DICE running so far :)

Sweet

Add me to msn

Yeah,

Good news the phase came today.

Line lengthend so now it will be fine for the Antec P180.

The Fan guard has been removed and replaced with a standard silver one.
Also the red button has gone and now its a plain black one.

The hole on the top has been cut and moved forwards to allow the line to come at the back of the PSU.

Yet to power it up to check noise levels though.Just got in from work.

Watch this space :)

I powered it up last night just to test and I am amazed on the noise levels.
I can hardly hear the compressor :D and will be able to tweak the fans on moles advice in software to slow them down.

I will post some pics shortly :)
