Ebay returns problem

Well if you look at his selling history its 100% so hes probably raging that he is being done over no? Just trying to see the other side of this.

I could not give a monkeys whether he comes up here tbh :D

i will ask him to send the card back to me and that will be the end of it i guess

lol, oh man.. After his little tirade?..

yeah but thats the problem with Ebay....genuine sellers get a raw deal by unscrupulous buyers. If the card works then i have no problems with taking it back. The money doesn't really bother me. However given all the abuse hes chucked at me i dont think i will be giving him positive feedback.

You're a rare breed dude. The nicest guy on earth.

Now you remember to only give him 4 stars!, and no supper before bedtime!!...

Maybe he's got 100% because he's so abusive and threatening previous people have been afraid to neg him.

Rightly or wrongly, whether the card is working or not, the bloke has acted like a complete **** so i'd have no hesitation telling him to go swivel. If he'd been a reasonable person about things I might have thought twice about being reasonable in return and coming to some sort of mutually agreeable conclusion.

Just get your money back and then send him the postage he paid. The fees for selling it will be refunded by eBay so he will be at no loss.

Don't pay his postage. You're not obliged to and your already out of pocket for posting it back + all the time wasted in taking it to a repair shop and responding to him.

+1 for link to video.

Thinking about asking him to send me the card back - i will then go to another 2 pc repair shops for them to test and if card works then no worries.

I'm not working right now so i have a lot of time on my hands, i dont mind doing this.

I guess its the mystery of not knowing whether its actually a working card or not.

Don't request the card back. This will further complicate your eBay dispute.

You bought the card and when you received it, it failed to work. Being weary of your own knowledge you sought professional advice from a PC shop who also advised that it fails to work. You've sent the card back in the correct manner (trackable), so keep your tracking number and receipt.

Now I would just wait for eBay who will probably ask for a tracking number of the return postage - giive them the tracking number and a copy of the receipt too, if need be.

If possible, get a statement from the PC shop stating that they have tested the video card and found it to be faulty. It will carry more weight if it is on their own headed paper. Perhaps even on an invoice stating it's faulty.

I find it strange the seller has received a bent graphic card. Do you have any photos of the card, before you sent it? If so, they may contain serial numbers on the card. I think the seller has broken his graphic card, bought a new one and sold the broken one on eBay. But I could be wrong.

Its not faulty tho is it if the seller has a video of it working. Id assume the video also shows the serial number of the card to prove it is the card the OP returned.

If you look at the video, It looks to me like the card in question has been sent in a jiffy bag and could easily have been damaged in transit.

It doesn't have a serial number, but he shows the card with it's unique feature of glued fans. :D

If you mean me sending back to him.

I put it in one of those anti static bags wrapped it in bubblewrap and also tied cardboard round it to secure it and then put it in jiffy bag.

This was my first thought, and my last after reading the whole thread. He's acting like this because he doesn't want to get caught.
