Ebay unpaid item strike

It's a bit difficuylt to 'come to an agreement' if the seller refuses to reply :(
You could always... ya know...

Go around his house, keyboard-warrior-stylée, and "persuade him" to remove the unpaid item strike.

Remember to bring suitable tools of the kbw-trade.

I could just picture you now... I think you'd look somewhat like this fella:

I just feel hard done by becuase the only reason I didn't pay was becuase Ebay themselves would not allow me to :(

I even offered to pay the guys listing fee, leaving him in no way out of pocket whatsoever. He did not even have the decency to reply.

i would feel hard done by too mate - i personally depise the paypal sending limit, suppose it helps security :(

i have once made a guy wait for payment for a week (my bank messed up) then had to cancel and never had a problem, the guy was totally understanding, and i told him this serveral times between thank yous

btw - was he selling more than 1 of the item?

Not as far as I can see.

400px*75px, 13.91kb for the image.

The one line of text underneath finishes just short of the image with text size set to normal in Firefox - seems fine to me.

Sorry, my computer is playing tricks with me. Here's what I saw:

Cleared my cache now and everything is fine.

Sorry again for taking it OT! Game on.

We've all had something like this happen to us at one point or another and been forced to take the blame for something which wasn't really our fault.

Unfortunately a lot of people, companies and even the law fail to recognise that not everything is black or white.

You've just gotta bend over and take it like a man.

you bought an item from him and then told him you wouldnt pay for it .Which is the crux of the matter from his viewpoint .so you get a strike .thats how ebay works .

Its not his fault or concern that you had a sending limit on your paypal account .As far as he was concerned you bought the item and should have paid for it.

Ebay will bill him for the listing and ALSO their final sale fee percentage, regardless of him being paid or not . So he has to file a non paying bidder dispute to get these fees and charges refunded to him.

From my own experience, with non paying bidders, going through the non paying bidder process is a real pain in the behind .It takes 14 days to sort out , and you have to fill out numerous forms. then of course you have to re-list the item again and run another auction. Further delaying the items sale.

if hes a powerseller , i would imagine that hes had his fair share of non payers in the past and cannt afford to waste his time in correspondance .

Quite frankly , complaining that you got a strike and a neg from him considering the hasstle youve caused him, even though it was not intentional , is derisory.

Sorry if this sounds harsh , but non paying bidders are a real pain .

I wouldn't take it so personally. If the guy's a power seller, he's probably getting "real" non-paying bidders every day of the week and just uses the same prcoess to deal with all of them rather than reviewing items case by case.

Both in selling and buying on ebay i find people constantly not answering there emails for days and await feedback for weeks some times when i update it instantly.

People also do not read the auctions properly in my last 4 sales i have stated that i will not accept offers from non verified pay pal acounts yes i still i get people that dont read or that are to lazy.

I would be as annoyed as you tbh, but as people have stated hes in the right.

Indeed, but the OP did the honourable thing and offered to reimburse the fees (nobody has ever been good enough to do the same for me). As a seller myself, I would have been more than happy to resolve this amicably.

....and thats why eBay sucks.
What, eBay sucks because someone who DIDN'T PAY got a NON PAYERS STRIKE?

Am I missing something fundemental here, or is this person a bit of a fool?

K.

It's unfortunate alright, but that guy might have thought "oh great, a scammer."

In a way he was inconsiderate but it's probably more ebay/paypal's fault than his.
