Edifier vs

Been looking to replace a bose portable speaker ive been using as an alternative to my tv speakers connected to my pc. Was looking at the edifier r980t https://www.overclockers.co.uk/edifier-studio-r980t-2.0-speakers-24w-sp-021-er.html or possibly a 2nd hand bose solo soundbar. Anyone have any experience with edifiers or possibly any other suggestions around this price point?

Will mainly be used to watch movies/tv and occasional music.

I don't think for £50 you will find anything better tbh. They're pretty solid.

I’ve got a pair of edifers and really impressed for the money. Decent enough sound quality and solidly built.

For £95, I bought Edifier R1800TIII 2.0 Studio Speakers in January 2017 and they're still operating fine, with good bass for their size.

I've always been very pleased with my Edifier speakers too - they seem to have something decent for a range of budgets until you get into the audiophile territory

I can’t fault my R1280t set for the price the sound is excellent and they go plenty load enough for pc distance!

Solid brand edifier can't go wrong my cousin has the s2000s and man they are never cranked higher than 20 volume and they just fill the house up with sound never mind the room

I've had a bunch of their higher end headphones and speakers and indeed they are excellent quality and sound quality. For the money can't go wrong really. There is better, but you pay more.
