So glad Mane isn't available at the weekend, Liverpool are a completely different side without him

Saying that, Coutinho with a few extra days training in his legs will look a lot better and if /when Henderson is back , Liverpool could look completely different on Sunday

Liverpool may have "deserved" a hammering tonight, but certainly not down and out of the tie - could easily win 2 or 3 - 0 at Anfield in the return fixture
 
Liverpool team: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge.

Not surprised Clyne's not there - he clearly wasn't fit at the weekend. Interesting to see whether we're going with a 4-3-3 with Firmino (or Sturridge) wide or if it'll be a 4-2-3-1.
 
I don't think Stewart's the answer and as harsh as it sounds he looks to be another Spearing. Good in patches but nowhere near the quality we need. Reckon he'll be gone in the summer.

His problem is he's nearly as stupid as Jose Enrique. He could be an excellent player but his decision making, or at least the time it takes him to make a decision is what's holding him back.

Definitely not. He's somebody you can rely on to do a job defensively in easier games but that's all. Agree he'll be gone in the summer.

edit: Just thought - we could play a diamond again. Really hope that's the case. I hate the idea of Firmino or Sturridge playing wide and Lallana looks so much better in midfield rather than attack.
 
Need to take some shots from outside box, Saints just waiting for a counter yet we keep trying to pass it into the net, should mix it up abit, long shot may deflect and open a chance up for us

You haven't had any space at the edge of the box to get those shots off. If you want to take pot shots you are going to be doing it from 40 yards at the moment.
 
If Southampton don't get to Wembley they'll only have themselves to blame for not finishing chances in the home and away legs! What has happened to Liverpool of a couple of months ago? Seem to have nothing now.
