Eggy bread is my go to hangover breakfast. Food of kings!
Eggs in a basket is what looks like poached eggs placed in a hole in some bread

Guess it would be nice also, but wouldnt really turn the bread "egg flavoured" as such. Eggy bread you are soaking up all the egg goodness in to the bread.

If I'm not mistaken you cut a hole out of the bread (cookie cutter will do) and start frying the bread with said hole in it, crack open an egg into this whole and fry the lot leaving you with a tasty fried bread and egg combo.

Poached?No, it's just a way of doing fried egg on toast all in one. It's quick and easy, doesn't turn the bread eggy as such but it's still nom nom nom.

Some people don't like fried egg though and would rather poached
Mum used to make eggy bread with a bit of sugar.
doesn't powdered sugar make it french toast?
