** EKWB-PREDATOR - AVAILABLE NOW **

@blackn3r I think so, particularly if you're going to include the GPU into the loop.

@Legend I know that the EK site has a will it fit option to check. I'd be careful though as I had an epic challenge getting the 360 into my Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (full tower case that fits 360 rads) due to the 8 pin power position on my X99 mobo. Mine is on the roof and temps are dandy.

Khemist is there a reason you stopped using the predator as I am really thinking about getting the 360 one and a titanx gpu block too?

Using the 360 and the QDC GPU block on my Ti, I can say that I'm a very happy customer. Temps are great and it's an easy set up. The one thing to keep in mind is that it is best to remove the pump header off the pwm predator header and have it running off the mobo separately (this way you can keep it at 100% speed).

Since the Firestrike bench I posted above, I've since been able to reduce the voltage to my CPU from 1.285v to 1.270v @4.5ghz and squeeze an additional bit of OC performance out of the GPU on both core clock and memory.

Obviously I cannot speak for Khemist, but felt that it was worth sharing feedback from someone who has been using a set up for some time similar to what you are considering.

Thanks m8

Dont get what you mean by "The one thing to keep in mind is that it is best to remove the pump header off the pwm predator header and have it running off the mobo separately "

The pump that came with it burned out, i replaced the pump with a spare i had but didn't like the noise it was making so i'm using a D5 now.

I've had a solid side panel for the Define s on order for ages so that may have helped with the noise at the time but i think i will use it again in the future since i liked how tidy it looked.

running a 6700k at 4.75gig doesnt go over 72c at 100% realbench at stock speeds sits around 55c with fans not going more than 50%.

Nice setup is that the Fractal Design Define S case??

what does it achieve regarding the water temp ( on the rad outflow tube under full load for 30mins ) with fans at say mid speed ?

thanks

Unfortunately I don't have any temp monitoring kit to check this. All I can go on is the GPU/CPU load temps (not exactly what you are asking though).

Thanks m8

The Predator comes with the 3 fan headers and the pump header all attached to the unit. There is then a single PWN header to control the speed of the fans and the pump.

I wanted the pump to be running at 100%, rather than pwm controlled, so ran it off it's own extension to a separate mobo header. I also added in additional fans on the pred push/pull so split the pred fan headers to have 2 off each header.

Here's a picture of the set up (minus my soundblaster ZxR which has since been added):

How good are the varder fans? They seem to have replaced noctua as the "go to" fan for radiators

The fans are really decent. I use 6xVardar F4's on the Predator and 2x140/2x120 Noctuas in the case intake. Like any fans if they get to high rmps (the F4 go to 2200rpm) they will get noisy. THe Noctua's (when I had them on my old 240 CPU rad and 120 GPU rad would also become audible at higher rpms. The performance is good on both.

You will have spotted the Bitfenix pro 140 exhaust in the above pictures and that was mostly an aesthetic choice (although the fan performs fine).

Ahh pete get what you mean now thanks for explaining it for me cheers m8 really tempted by this.

Does anyone know of a List of compatable cases as im sure it needs a lot more space with the pump on the endtank?

hi guys
I was just about to sell my unused ek 360mm and have just noticed some liquid droplets in the clear bag around the cpu block, this is the new rev 1.1 Is this an automatic RMA with EK or should it be with the people I bought it from In Jan
