Elden Ring Nightreign

I feel this needs 3 players with a strong understanding of the game and their character class, which could work against it when it comes to playing with randoms.
 
I completely missed out on this play trial, I kind of brute forced finishing Elden Ring and the DLC (level 186) so not sure if my skill level would be up to the challenge?
 
200ish I think - I completed it on the PC, then again on xbox and did the DLC on XBOX, so maybe my level was lower than I thought - I'll check later as I have 3d21hr on the Xbox

Looking forward to this but seeing you need 3 players for co-op is a bit annoying as I usually just played Elden ring with my friend since no one else I know likes souls games.

Ill probably still pick this up and play it myself.

Am I reading it right; Nightreign can be played solo, or with 3 players, but two-players is no-no? It seems weird that you can't setup 2-player + 1 NPC...

Yeah that's what i seen, the quote was

"Speaking with IGN, Ishizaki explains that Elden Ring Nightreign can only be played in single player, or in a team of three, meaning you cannot play the game with just one other friend. When asked by IGN whether you an play the game as a pair, Ishizaki outright states "No, it’s either one-player or three-player.”"
 
So, its out this week. I still haven't moved house so no proper internet until I do (move date is 30th May coincidentally), so I haven't pre-ordered the game. I will be looking at reviews before I buy it though, but with a rumoured solo offline mode it makes it more appealing. Anyone pre-ordered or definitely buying?

Mine pre installed on my PS5 Pro last night, roll on Friday.
 
Man watching Dist last night just destroy everything made me hate this. I want a challenge damn it and normally I'd just jump in solo but according to most reviews it's super borked even if your a FromSoft vetern.

Content also looks extremely thin, which wouldn't be a problem if they had some sort of schedule / seasonal release but this seems like a one and done job.
 
I played a couple hours then did a refund request

Its the worst souls game I've ever played (yes worse than dark souls 2!) and feels like a cash grab forced upon the developer by a greedy publisher

It looks fun. (The playtest was fun)
Having a quick smash at Elden ring without trying to remember where you are and what you are doing. Love it

Think I'll keep an eye on this one and see how it progresses, mainly interested as it's Elden Ring, but not so sure about the co-op part, the game experience can change drastically depending on those you have in your group and if they're up for the challenge or just whitling away an hour or two.
