Elden Ring

I spam R3 when I am in a new area. Where I am at now Jesus these things are brutal!

My fear is that when there are more than one of them or when they get close, my magic just misses and I am resorting to the crappy sword!

i die more times in those situations than anything else.

picked up elden ring again after going part through ng+ on demons souls remake, demons souls is so easy compared to some bits on this game, i just got to castle sol........ and lol this place is so many levels of bs, for the first time ever im calling out from software on a place been so cheap that i might wreck a controller lol

im level 87 and i hear loads of people get wrecked in this place with much higher levels, just glad the welcome lion party dont respawn :p

edit: oh i just found my first site of grace inside castle sol and some generous helpful people have put down messages encircling the site of grace in a triangle...... which is awesome with a solid knight after my ass lol

A few things today

1 - got teleported to a place VERY north of the map and there was this giant sleeping. Managed to kill it after a few goes due to pure brute force than skill. Got a Talisman that gives HP slowly when equipped.

2 - Sacred Tears…and flask of wonderous physic, what do they do?

3 - there is this giant walking castle with a bell on its belly. What’s that for?

oh, I just realise the feeling playing Elden Ring gives me, it feels like I’m watching a horror movie and that feeling of dread and fear! I get it even though I’m still OP for the area.

I truthfully can only answer point 2.

Sacred Tear is used at grace points to upgrade the amount your flasks replenish when used.

Wonderous physick is a flask that allows you to mix a special brew using other “Tears” you find.

My current one one gives 50% health but then makes me explode like a bomb. Really useful for flinging normal enemies off of high places :p

You can find a variety of Tears to make your own concoction - but it’s pretty much limited to mixing two Tears from what I can see.

As for walking building things - not sure but I gave them a wide berth. I’m guessing you can probably attack them somehow though. Almost everything that moves in this game can be killed. Even things that don’t move can be killed too! :p

The walking mausoleum can be taken down (not killed) and inside you do something I forgot. I think you can reuse past boss runes to get the other items. Something like that.

Yes they refill.

Is the wonderous physic unlimited? As in will it refill automatically after every grace?

They act the same as other flasks so yeah they refill when you rest. I've got a mix of a half HP regain and constant regen for 3 mins. Some of the super OP builds have some clever combos.

The walking mausoleums allow you to duplicate one remembrance inside. The barnacles aren't always on their legs and some I've not worked out how to bring down myself (but I don't need to yet so haven't looked closely).

The Haligtree is doing my head in! the enemies are insane! It is a well made area though, there are what appears to be many ways through the trees and city, but some are dead ends!

Over 100 hours now, and I have only just completed Stormveil Castle. I have been exploring so much, It feels like the game does a really good job of difficulty spikes when going to different areas, venturing East for example (red area) have some pretty tricky encounters, a definite Nope out with a few of them!

I do like the Grace guidance so it gives you an idea of the thread of the game, but it's all about exploring!

I have gone for a Vigor/Strength/Endurance build with some Dexterity. I found a Colossal sword and that thing is ridiculously big, almost like cartoony joke sword lol

My current sword is a Claymore +8, 202 damage - seems to be doing the business so far

my build sounds similar to yours but i made the claymore a heavy one for better strength scaling, just checked and i have a heavy claymore +19 and the only scaling on it is strength with a b :)

+19 - Wow! Is that just by smithing stones? Or some other secret?

I don't fully understand the 'Scaling' attributes section, I don't recall a tutorial on it

yeh basically smithing stones i put a ash of war on my claymore that made it a heavy one but still a standard weapon it removed other scaling for just strength scaling at b, basically you want your scaling to be as high as possible to match your stats, in our case it is strength b is ok a is sweet and s is just loads of win, the better the scaling the more damage you will get out of it with each point in the stat :)

im a bit drunk but i hope that helps :)

im also around level 80 and i still need one more smithing stone 7 to upgrade to lvl 20 on my claymore :)
