Once you have both parts of the seal you get two options at the lift of rold. Took me a while to figure it out! There is a site there you can just go back.

ah sweet cheers bud :)

oh i got rid of him the other night well the guy i summoned did lol, thankfully i summmoned a awesome wizard magic user guy who proceeded to melt the hp bar of niall and his cronies :)

secret area talk has me interested, what bit? i followed the rold lift to the giant place.

After the Niall fight - carry on through the castle out the back of the boss room and you will find a pick-up that is a half of a secret medallion. The other half is in an area of Liurnia where there is a location called Village of the Albinaurics.

With both halves of the secret medallion you can go to the Grand Lift of Rold (once you have defeated Morgott) and when you get to the point where you can hoist a medallion you have a “change action” option where you can use left/right on the dpad to select which medallion to use.

Select secret medallion and the lift will transport you to the consecrated snowfields (which is a secret area). If you are following Latenna’s quest you can get a Dragon Sombre Smithing Stone by going to the Apostate Derelict site in this area.

You can then go to the Ordina town and solve the Evergaol puzzle to open a teleport to Miquella’s Haligtree. There’s some useful pickups here.

I got the Moonveil Katana !!!

I figured out how to do the special move where it goes back into the scabbard by holding down L2 (word in left hand) and then pressing R1. That does the horizontal magic thing. But i've seen people do it where you jump forward and do a vertical slice with magic. How do you do that?
Well done Raymond it’s a lovely sword. L2+R2 for the other attack. Enjoy!

i need to upgrade it lots though, currently it’s nowhere as strong as a single pebble from my staff.
Yeah that’s a given in these games. Keep looking for those smithing stones and you’ll increase its damage massively. It’s situational anyway as some things won’t even get scratched by your pebbles but a sword will really hurt them. L2+R2 has good stagger on it as well.

I have somber smithing stone 1, 2 and 4 so I need a 3. It’s much better now at +2, can take out most things in limegrave with 1 or 2 hits at least. I love the R2 specials though.

ps I’m now lvl 94!

thanks for the info :)

Im stuck on where to go next. I have beaten radahn and roaming the capital city, but unable to access morgot, door closed to me.

His door is closed with a gold door and says sealed by morgott the grace given.

Are you sure you aren’t mistaking the access to the grand lift of Rold? This is sealed by Morgott and only opens once you defeat him.

Did you go up a big wooden lift to get there?

I haven’t heard of Morgott being blocked off personally. You have to fight the the first Elden Lort boss before you can get to Morgott. There’s also an assassin on the route up to him as well but he doesent re spawn once you have killed him.

Thanks guys, Buffetslayer, yes that was where I was, will come back to that then. And Witcher1980, that is the area I have just found, I have had my first crash on Elden ring going into the Morgott boss fight. The screen goes black as I enter and game crashes to Desktop.

You have to make your way up the tree - might be another route but that’s how I got to him - then do the boss up there first. Morgott isn’t closed off you just have to do the other boss first. Then you can access the lift.

I am currently watching Connor (CDawgVa) on Twitch playing this, his build is all about hitting someone as hard as possible with Radahn’s double sword. Just jump and smash down normal, then use the R2 special which almost always knocks someone out or stagger them and critical hit. It also can clear an area out. it seems a pretty awesome weapon.

Fire Giant slain!

Took Alexander and a summons to do it with me watching and slapping him when his back was turned!

Now Loretta V2 and the Godskin duo! *sigh* both are handing my ass to me :D

think I might farm some runes - speaking of which I saw a AFK farm in the lakes, where you go on top of a semi sunken building, enter multiplayer and hide up there, video says you should be fine. I wasn't :D got killed by some dude shooting lightning at me from a distance.. back to the rune farm with the big chicken then :)

Just decided to order this, hope I don't regret it.
Be fine as long as I can level up to make any difficult sections easier.

It is a brilliant game, but don't be disheartened with dying, you will do that a LOT. and yes you can level your character, weapons & magic to help you. My biggest mistake was thinking it was kinda like Elder Scrolls difficult, as long as you keep slashing away you would be fine.... big nope about 30 minutes into it.

Best defence is to run away most of the time, oh and if you see a big dude on a horse when you "arrive" - don't!
