Elden Ring

lol@wretch you'll get wrecked but it might be fun! When I played Demon's Souls recently I mixed Knight with magic as kind of nice being able to give both to match different situations. So I am thinking perhaps Vagabond or something.

Gah I don't need this game right now but I am thinking I am just going to get it digitally so I can jump in for a bit of exploring whenever I have lots of time.

wow@those reviews. **** it I am just going to buy it then.

I think one review summed it up, if you like From games then the game is a masterpiece, if you don't then you wont like it and it's unlikely to pull in new players.

Ah. Yeah, so I won’t be buying. :p tried both BB and DS3. Hate the gameplay loop.

edit - super happy for the fans though. Bout time they got a new from game.

Skill Up kind of said this is more accessible then Sekiro for example because of the very wide amount of options you have on how you approach things so is more likely to fit with a given persons natural play style.

Pre-loaded!

Really struggled with Sekiro some of the bosses were just too much for me with the timings - Genichiro just could not beat him though I got close. I have had no real issues with any other From game except for that one. It was brilliant but I hit a wall and gave up.

Yeah Sekiro you were forced to play 1 way or you die.

I have no clue what classes there are - other than a preview vid I have avoided any media on this game as best as I can.

I like versatility. So ranged with workable melee is my sweet spot. I’m not good enough to go balls deep melee, and not bad enough to need total range and cheese. Lol.

I guess if I were a level setting, I would be Medium! :p

I love the atmosphere of the games, I just don't get very far is all. However, I do enjoy it for the time I spend so really I guess it's not wasted even if I only see 50% or less of the game

I'd love to play this game with the reviews it's getting but I've never played more than 30 minutes of a From game yet. Bloodborne was absolute tripe to me. Going to have to wait until it comes to Game Pass or PS Now.

:D

After playing Demons Souls remake on PS5 as my first proper playthrough of a Souls game this really has piqued my interest, the world and lore has me enticed

I'm starting as a wretch - loincloth and a club. I will aim for a faith build, I may even stick with the club and aim to find another for powerstance testing. Hopefully I will find some faith spells early doors.
