Elder Scrolls MMO

Got an excellent rating.

So excited for this!

I think the more MMO's you've tested in the past the higher your rating. For those that haven't tested any just make it up, how would they ever know anyway? :p

I put one MMO down for as tested in the past and got an 'excellent' rating :)

I hope this game is good, been let down with to many games that would like to succeed but don't even come close to it.

Hmm why do they put out fmv cutscenes for trailers these days. It will be nowhere near that gfx in gameplay or look anything as cool. I really wish they wouldnt waste time with them and just put a gameplay beta video up or somit instead or at the least a dev talking about the game in general and what features it will have.

These days? They've always had CGI teaser/cinematic trailers, before the advent of online streaming media it was on discs like PCG and then you didn't have them at all until you bought the game.
It's strange that a lot of people say the same thing, it's a cinematic, gameplay videos have been shown a little and they will come, as always, with every game ever made currently.

Also, you think the developers stop working to make a CGI video? No, they hire someone else to do it, no time is lost, just money.

Also, complimentary dev talking about the game.

I don't see this being anything new or different than the current swill we're served now.
Surprising thing is the majority of the people talking about it in other places also feel the same way for once. Will definitely try it, I expect nothing amazing, if anything I'd be pleasantly surprised.

One comment that sums up MMOs of today. "Cute, an mmo that thinks its different".

It'll draw good attention no doubt and a sizeable playerbase, compared to what we have now all that's different is the lore/story.

i liked skyrim and put 200 hours into it. but if this is another coockie cutter mmo, i cant be bothered, i played ffxi online to death but that wasnt like traditional mmos which im not a fan of, im now enjoying secret world and that has enough in common with ffxi for me to enjoy that, ie storyline, cutscenes, unlock everything with 1 character. but since i wasnt megarly interested in skrims storyline i doubt a es mmo will fare any better. the only thing that would make me marginally interested is if they stick with first person combat for the mmo, but doubt that'll happen!

Why are they advertising this 'mega server' idea so much?

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't it just a version of what Guild Wars had over 7 years ago? You could choose what instance of the world you wanted to be in and it was split up into regions. I thought it worked well for GW but for a big MMO it would diminish the social aspect, guilds you might be at war with could run off into other instances and hide. You end up rarely meeting the same players again and a community doesn't form properly.

On the plus side it'd save having to merge servers down the road
