Oh yes...

1.2 patch is now available as well. :D
Just the cookie provider in the autodownloader for a little giggle... ;)

However - it is stupidly hard on the hard level...

would u guys who like it rate it as highly if it wasn't starwars and was some random futuristic sci-fi setting?

in my opinion its a cross between dawn of war and homeworld2 but without a third dimension in space and less strategy on the ground.

The ultimate test is you end up playing it then before you know 4-6 hours have gone by in a flash

Always a good sign, if it was junk you would not spend that long with it.

Its definetly enhanced by being star wars, that said ive only played the first level, RTS games arent usually my cup of tea, but star wars games are, so im cautiously optimistic while playing it, the first level didnt really do anything for me so far, ill play another couple of levels tonight.

has anyone figured out how to sort the POP Cap?

Working on it.. ;)

Managed to get the infantry to have shields. :D
Can make the big ships take up only 1 population...

Got it installed on 2 machines just so I can do 1 for modding and 1 for playing...

Still trying to figure out where the pop levels come from...

i see what you are saying, the point i was making is that if u took out the starwarsy music, sound and graphics would u still play it for as long and enjoy it so much? im not intending to **** it off, i read some reviews recently of the game and you could tell the reviewers are def. star wars fans and i think that a lot of them have rated it highly due to the simple fact that we loved watching the movies as kids and now we are fullfilling boyhood fantasies of taking part in the rebellion, or crushing it, whatevers your poison, heh.

if you had been given a generic scifi title with faux 3d in space you would all be ripping the hell out of it, but sprinkle a few star destroyers in there and everyone is happy.

Very good imo. Much like rebellion, while it may not seem brillaint you litterally spend hours on it while only minutes seem to go by.

Currently stuck on the caridia mission with just han and chewie. damm its hard

well i dont even like SW and im still enjoying it, i do however like RTS games. its filling my gap quite nicely since completing DoW. and its got what looks like a lengthy single player game in there too.

well ive just completed the empire campaign and i have to say i really enjoyed it. I just love the star wars music, being played in the background with my huge star destroyer fleet followed by the deathstar. I only blew up two planets, all the rest i just captured with the help of an overpowered darth and the ATAT :)

i think ill download the patch now then do some multiplayer, it would be cool to go against some of you rebel scum ;)

Always a bit of an unfair question really, a large part of any game is it's atmosphere, story, setting and characters, these all give the game it's sense of style and general vibe, for want of a better word.

I agree that a Star Wars setting will give a game a head start in this department but why shouldn't it?

Now if they get that Star Wars vibe wrong...that's a different story :)

I'm stuck on the disable the transport ships mission, i don't enderstand what im supposed to do :S

I use the Y-Wings to attack/disable the transport ships but it doesn't do anything : /

Then if i blow them up i fail the mission.

Use the Ion cannons on the Y-Wings to disable them - then fly Captain Antilles' ship near them to rescue people.

Jobs a goodun.. :D

just a small warning the campaign follwos the star wars saga pretty clsoely. So don't have your main ship yard/facilities on alderaan :(

Tried it earlier, went through the tutorial and first mission on Imperial side. Didn't notice the time passing which is a good sign and will now slowly work my way through and learn it before going multiplayer.
