Empty quoting on forums: Do you find it annoying?

Personally I find it irritating and it annoys me when I see people do it. On another forum I frequent, its a suspend/bannable offence and I think that's a marvelous idea. It's just a waste of space and pads out threads unnecessarily.

If you don't know what I'm referring to, here's an example...
 
I don't mind it, it simply means "I agree", and sometimes it's interesting to know another member's opinion on a certain subject.

What irritates me is when someone quotes the ENTIRE body of text when they're one of the first posters, or includes huge images in their quotes.

I find it irritating when people quote the post directly above their own, unless it is a particularly long and wide-ranging one with a specific portion quoted.

I don't think that's so bad, because 9/10 times by the time you've finished typing your reply, a post or two would've appeared after the one you've quoted.
