I don't mind it, it simply means "I agree"

I know what you mean but I see it in nearly every thread and it doesn't really add anything useful to the thread in question :/Doesn't bother me at all. I think it is rather petty to be bothered by something that is done for a reason like that.

And when people don't quote properly!...
I find it more annoying when people reply with sarcasm to a valid point, or partronise.
Somewhat yes, but in my opinion (and it is just an opinion), there isn't really much point in making a post at all unless you actually have something you want to contribute. But maybe that's just meWould you feel better about it if they included the words 'I agree' in their post?
doesn't bother me, full size picture quotes do![]()

Yeah, I see what you mean... well I guess that's that then, general consensus of this thread seems to be everyone thinks empty quoting is good... fair do'sPersonally i like knowing that other members feel/think/agree with what i say. There is also the confirmation of advice by seeing numerous Agree type posts on a question asked. If 3 people on here that i know Quote/Agree on something i am happy to listen/take that advice/learn more about the subject etc.
Personally I find it irritating and it annoys me when I see people do it. On another forum I frequent, its a suspend/bannable offence and I think that's a marvelous idea. It's just a waste of space and pads out threads unnecessarily.
I don't mind it, it simply means "I agree", and sometimes it's interesting to know another member's opinion on a certain subject.
What irritates me is when someone quotes the ENTIRE body of text when they're one of the first posters, or includes huge images in their quotes.
If you don't know what I'm referring to, here's an example...

I find it irritating when people quote the post directly above their own, unless it is a particularly long and wide-ranging one with a specific portion quoted.lol how did I know someone was gonna do that![]()
