End of the world as we know it.

dont know why anybody would be surprised.... mc doanlds also has to pay utility bills which have risen loads, food costs have gone up loads, pay rises to workers also. better to add 20% to one cheap item or would it of been better to of added say 5% over the while menu?
Lots of the other items will be going up too. They can't do it all at once or people will be burning the stores down. :p

no doubt, but i bet its still one of the cheapest take aways vs pizza or what ever. i dont even know how much a pizza costs now its been that long, there are some decent supermarket pizzas about and im happy to eat one of them for the saving

Tesco own brand lemon & lime fizzy drink was 50p for a two litre bottle up until about a year ago. It then increased to 60p and I noticed at the weekend that it's now 70p.

That's a 40% increase in a year :(

Pasta as well. Pasta.

A 500g packet of dry pasta [fusilli, penne etc] used to be 55p, it's now 80p. Quite shocking.

Can you imagine the crap that is in a burger you can sell for 99p.

People really need to research what they are letting their body cope with.

Umm McDonalds beef pattys are 100% beef. No additives, preservatives etc etc.

It's a legal requirement for any product that contains 2 or more ingredients to list them.

That's fair, it's easy to criticise. I'm sure it's not the best quality or the buns are that good, but you can't accuse them of the meat not being genuine beef.

It's probably got cow testicles in there somewhere but hey its still 100% beef. Meanwhile the healthy option they keep pushing (McPlant) contains over 20 ingredients and multiple artifical flavours/preservatives.

No testicles, they use just forequarter and flank

I used to work for the biggest flour miller in the UK and McDonald's bought our absolute best flour, the top of the range, most expensive product. A _very_ good flour.

Of course, I can't comment on what they do with it once they've got it but the primary ingredient in their buns is top quality.

They better leave the coffee pricing alone.

I am quite fond of the McD coffee. Cheap and tastes pretty good to me.
Bad luck...
Items that will definitely increase in price include:

  • Breakfast meals
  • Main meals
  • McNugget share boxes
  • McFlurry ice creams
  • Large coffees

Meh if you're going to start worrying about that, then you're going to need to start panicking about the air you're breathing in, and even to an extent what liquids you're drinking too.

So almost the entire menu!

As long as it doesn't go up by ££ I am sure I'll still partake.
