Energy drinks

the majority of that "crap" you then re-add yourself.

im curious how you go about assuring the quality of your "minerals" that you add. odds are they get made in a rather crappy factory in china with lax health an safety standards.

seriously i applaud you on one of the more random oppositions to fluoride and the incredibly obscure condition to obsess over.

I can't assure the quality of my minerals and have to take what they say as gospel, this is what I use

I have never got the water tested but you can taste the difference once the water has been through that.

Placebo effect or coincidence since changing the water supply I have not been ill, I normally have one of the highest sick records at my work place but I haven't had any sick days since the change, I also find my general mood is better etc. The pineal gland produces melatonin and serotonin so I'm not sure if that can be a contributing factor to my all around better general well being. Actually there was another change I now only have Himalayan pink salt rather than normal salt.

I agree it's bad but it is largely true.

Edit: I just don't see any need for them if you eat a healthy balanced diet, you shouldn't need a a pick me-up to get you through the day. To me they're just a symbol of today's culture of fast food, too many hours on the PC and no sleep.

I don't really drink energy drinks at all but I do like the taste, I had a couple of relentless when I was nearing my limits climbing Ben Nevis earlier this year and a minute or so later I was practically running off the buzz.

If I take them while not physically tired I don't feel anything normally, although if I take two and don't do anything my chest feels weird sometimes...

I also don't drink coffee at all if that's makes a difference, just hate the taste and smell.

please please tell me your read that

The first one is an exclusive mineral element that catches and diffuses Far InfraReds (FIR) into the water. It makes the water molecules smaller and more easily absorbed by cells.

just no.

also

The second innovation is a white magnet that magnetises the water (changes the structure of the water molecules).

no.

thats actually painful to read.

That thing may as well say "Wicca witches bless the water as it passes through the filter making it healthier than the blood of virgins".

There's so much pseudo science on that page it's not even funny. I can all but guarentee you that it's a placebo effect but hey if it works for you its not my money you're spending so I say go ahead.

I wonder how many they've sold.

As for the salt as fancy as it sounds its salt but contaminated with iron oxide giving it the pink hue.

You must be joking surely...

maybe he had an iron deficiency :p

:D if he's using that as an iron supplement he has bigger things to worry about than his pineal gland.

Maybe it's harsh but I can never take these type of posts seriously I always think they must be having me on :D.

Please post a picture of purifier with "OCUK I'll buy anything" written on a piece of paper for proof that you're not having a laugh.

Just heading out but when I say about feeling better etc I put it down to the distilling of the water and not the Eva system. Regardless of what mumbo jumbo the Eva says it does I know one thing it makes the water taste nicer and as that is literally the only thing I drink it was worth the money.

id go with distilling the water then adding minerals from a more reputable source or just drinking the water pure and taking a daily vitamin and mineral tablet from myprotien/bulkpowders/boots really.

cheaper and much better balanced that thing sounds like a filter and some rocks and could be adding god knows what, ie what happens if there happens to be lead or other heavy metals in there in very small amounts, over time that will build up inside you without a way of removing it.

Odds are the feeling better comes from you now liking the taste of the water and drinki9ong it much more often and regularly than you used to resulting in better hydration.

Of course the occasional one isn't going to have negative effects the point is people drink several a day and pretty much every day . Good way of frying your CNS as well as longer term issues

Coffee has more caffeine than red bull though and it's quite common for people to consume many coffees a day.

Caffeine is not a stimulant known to cause CNS damage, if there was clinically significant damage from drinking caffeine we'd have recognised it a very long time ago from people drinking coffee.

Anything that causes withdrawal symptoms or you can become reliant on to kick start your day is not a sensible thing to be over consuming as far as I'm concerned whether it comes from coffee or energy drinks.

I already take Myprotein Alpha male every day and have done for a while, is there any others you can recommend? To be fair I've always drank water as my main drink, I don't really drink tea/coffee and don't drink fizzy drinks so I drink the same amount of water I would say. There are two other people who drink the same water both haven't really been ill since we made the change again more than likely coincidence.
