Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

Is it all fake news? Did seem ridiculous. And originated in a very obscure news source
It's misleading news if you got the impression it's pay.

sure ... it is "up to" but I saw the claims made by all the recent past PMs (BJs is not public record yet) the only one not to claim over 6 figured on the scheme me so far is T May. (iirc she was around 55k). either way it's wrong imo
Agree with it or not, my point was it's not pay.

I am so confused, so how much will I be paying at the end of the month? EON say it will be £220 - £66? Or will be it £220? The wording of this isn't very clear.

Doesn't look so bad for my area so meh.. still won't happen though lol..

Zone S for my property, which focuses mainly on weekend cuts 12:30pm - 3:30pm and 6:30pm - 9:30pm on Saturday and 3:30pm - 6:30pm on a Sunday. Nice.

I'm struggling to get my head round this..

Bulb have just put up my electricity price (variable tariff) to 38p/kwh. Apparently if it were not for the government support this would be approx 60p/kwh.

The thing is, I have an apartment in Riga, Latvia having lived there for years and there too, prices went up on the 1st of October. In Latvia, where at the moment there is no government support my electricity price went up to 0.18 euro/kwh, or approx 15p/kwh.

Latvia is far more exposed to gas shortages than we are over here.

How is this possible? Where is all that extra money going.....

Sounds like £220 is after the £66 EBSS has been credited, so that's what you'll pay.

The thing is, I phoned them, and they said the 66 would be taken OFF the 220. But from the email it looks like it won't. They should work these things more clearly.

Post makes no sense. Unit prices are capped in the UK at about 35p right now for electricity.

Our electricity pricing is currently tied too closely with the cost of gas units. Even if the UK managed to generate every single kW from renewable sources and use no gas, electricity prices would still be @ 60p/kWh due to our pricing structure
