I'll never go with a less than good company now.Actually speaking to anyone at avro is a bit of a problem though...

Think it was Together Energy or something, they were the cheapest so thought I'd give it ago.
1 month in they f up the transfer and get the readings wrong so took over £300 from me, couldn't get a reply or answer on the phone.
So started a swap to So Energy who were very helpful and got my current readings right, took 3 months or so to get my money back from Together and never once got a reply from them.
Never again.
I've been with Avro for a couple of years. Not had any problems.Have to say I'm worried about avro so far. I had to switch though as shell wanted silly money on their new tariffs.
Try contact-solar, they seem to have good reviews.Has anyone got solar panels installed?
What is the best company/tariff to go for?
You have to be careful when looking at cash back sites, the tariffs available through comparison sites are often not the same as those available direct or via cash back sites. Comparison sites often have ‘exclusive’ tariffs for new customers which are not available direct.
Things like cash back and referrals often don’t stack. When you go through the cash back link it often takes you to a ‘quidco’ section of the site which has quidco only tariffs.
What are E.On like customer service wise? I’ve got it in my mind they aren’t great.
I know npower are comically bad.
Good. I don’t like talking to peopleActually speaking to anyone at avro is a bit of a problem though...
The latter is a big if, and the biggest reason why people need to speak to their providers!Good. I don’t like talking to people
As long as you haven’t just moved and your meter numbers are correct I can’t see any reason to talk to them
One thing i like to do is as soon as i sign up get them to put me on accurate billing, so i only pay for what ive used. The latter is a big if, and the biggest reason why people need to speak to their providers!
Suppliers get meter numbers wrong so they think you're on a different meter even though your previous supplier ought to have given them the correct meter number. People (and the automated systems they create) make mistakes.
Also usage predictions can vary wildly between suppliers, and you'll need to discuss with them why their random direct debit amounts simply shouldn't change by £XX per month.
That being said, I'm going with Avro. They appear to have very good customer service ratings online, but I am now concerned by the reports on here of crap phone responses!
I didn't know this was a thing...me likey. How does one go about doing that? One thing i like to do is as soon as i sign up get them to put me on accurate billing, so i only pay for what ive used.
Just phone or message them. Octopus call it variable payments.I didn't know this was a thing...me likey. How does one go about doing that?

"That is no problem at all I have switched your payment plan to a "variable" plan which means 10 days after we issue your statement we'll take the exact balance via your direct debit"
Sick to death of suppliers wanting to hold onto hundreds of my money for no reason. Its nice just having your account say £0 all the time, and when you come to switch you just have to pay the final bill no waiting for a refund.

You might be best looking into batteries. As I think the electricity you store and use is a much greater value than selling unused energy. No I meant a tariff that’s designed for solar panels? If such thing exists. The property we have purchased has solar panels installed.
