England somehow rise in FIFA rankings...

It must have been for the entertaining football that they played. Extra place was for the pure footballing passion that they put into every game

IMO those teams are better which would put us in 9th. Looking at the other teams, these would seem about right. I know Italy didn't qualify for the knockout stages but they are still far superior than England.

Yeah but we should also have dropped. France werent above us anyway.
Italy dropped but I dont think we did that much better than them to stay move ahead of them

Im glad they kept Capello on.
He knows what hes doing, its just the players are utter turd, no matter what any of the pundits or managers say about English players being "world class"
I mean... they all say Rooney is one of the top three players in the world!
LOL, such a load of rubbish. Just look at the sheer gulf between him and even Forlan, or Iniesta, Xavi, or Dzeko.
Madness. The others are fine and classy intelligent players, and Rooney is a Scouse Ape. Wonderful.
The WHOLE squad needs to go right NOW. That means no Fat Frank, no "Stevie ****ing G", NO Calamity James, NONE OF THEM.
The squad now needs to be built around technical, fast, young and confident players, to give us a real TEAM for the future. I.e Agbonlahor, Wellbeck, Walcott, Adam Johnson etc etc etc. Even players like Cattermole and Jagielka could be in a Tournament squad as back up.
I couldnt believe the cheek of the current "players" to even put in a show like they did in the WORLD CUP. Children and players DREAM of being able to play for their country.
All the talk of them being "scared" of making mistakes infront of Capello is utter nonsense too, they are professionals with Champions League experience, and if they cant handle Algeria or the USA in a non critical world cup game, then they shouldnt even be playing football.
The ONLY reason England have moved up the rankings is that they were not quite as utterly **** as France and Italy. Thats it.
I felt nothing but a sense of relief when England were knocked out. They provided no entertainment whatsoever, and it was a relief not to have to go through all the nonsense and listen to the players crow about how they can beat "anyone" LOL.

In your opinion doesn't matter does it? The rankings are based on actual match results, and going by those, England is apparently 7th best in the world.

clearly anyone who brings on heskey to boost our attacking flair has absolutely no idea what they are doing.
and look at spain, Torres is easily as good as Rooney, yet spain were clearly strong enough mentally to just drop torres for the big matches altogether. Rooney was terrible in every match and got started in every match.
what happened to picking a player on form?
Capello picked on reputation/god knows what criteria to get heskey there.
we got it wrong in game 1 and continued to get it wrong for the next 4 games.
that is bad management. im sorry but it is.

But england have nowhere near the depth of quality players that spain have. He could drop Torres in the knowledge that players like Villa and Pedro could still do a quality job

and as for striker, you see darren bent with 24 goals, 2 off rooney. Defoe, 18, Agbonglarballovertheline 13.
so its not like we were utterly destitute in this department. if your player is so cold the ball literally turns into an unkickable lump ice when it touches him (rooney) you have to drop him. its an 8 match tournament. if hes not working, change it.
