England v Pakistan **spoilers**

Good win by England so congrats to them, dont think Pak played at all well during the test series. They really have missed their main bowlers so lucky for England;).
Personally i didnt watch much of the match as i had a feeling it was either going to be a draw or an England win but from what i saw, Pak were absolute **** bowling, fielding and most importantly of all batting.

All i can say is **** Monty the bearded dwarf and Mahmood...bloody sell out:p
 
You're batting was incredible 1st innings (better than ours), your bowling was very good all round really, much better than the previous 2 matches and you had a few decisions go against you. I won't comment on the fielding but Akmal dropped more than KP used too;)
I think you lost the game due to bottling it (for want of a better term) under pressure on the last day, they didn't look up for the fight, same thing happened at Old Trafford when Harmy was bouncing about.:)

yeah saj is english - born here and that. parents are pakistani and he's the cousin of amir kahn.

pakistan did kind of chuck it away on the last day, it was still in the balance i think at the start of the day, with the fantastic batsmen they have i'd have expected them to put up a bit more of a fight. the suicidal run outs were the turning points, that and monty and his unplayable delivery :D

i think i'm gonna grow a monty beard in tribute :D

nice to see mahmood on form, needed a decent performance. Still a way off the finished article though, but im sure consistency will come with time. With monty bowling so well as well i think england should go for a four man attack down under panesar has proven to be great bowler and can bowl long spells.
 
I've just finished watching the highlights and it was very poor bowling/fielding from England.

The Oval is a bouncy pitch, yet they persisted with short bowling outside the off stump, just asking to be hit for a boundary and some of the fielding and catching was awful, if we don't buck our ideas up, we could easily find ourselves 500 behind. :(
 
Harmison in particular has been woeful, Holding really tore in to him earlier too saying he's been average at best for @18 months, can't argue with that really, the only time he's got wickets was at OT on a fast bouncy one :(
 
Interesting stuff going on at the oval.

Pakistan have basically been accused of ball tampering by the umpires and they have changed to a different ball (one chosen by England), the offence also carrys a penalty of 5 runs (which is something i've never seen before!)

The old ball had just started to reverse swing as well so it could be an important decision which could change the result as England have almost caught up 245-3 86 runs behind.
 
Well dnt think England will mind this too much, more time taken out of play, the more chance of us holding for a draw. Very odd indeed tho.

Edit: looked like they were coming out but Akmal took his gloves off and started reading the paper!

Now the bail are off.
