England vs Spain

I lost interest in England games shortly after Sven became manager and I've not really been bothered about them since.

For all the people hoping that Capello's sacked who do they want to replace him? I think we'll get an English manager so the choice is Hodgson or Redknapp and if people think Capello isn't good enough they're in for a big shock with these two clowns.

Yup same here. Does my head in reading all the negativity. I guess the British press have a large part to play in the general negativity towards our national team.

You know that come June next year, they will be hyping England up bigtime, the same hacks that have laid into Fabio, chased down kiss-and-tell stories about the players, will be rolling out some favourable stats about how we haven't lost to Burkina Faso on a Wednesday afternoon on European soil since 1912 and urging us to kiss a cut-out image of Jack Wilshere's ankle. Then when we got knocked out the tables will turn again, a scapegoat will be found. A month or two later when Harry or Whoever takes charge for his first game, it will be the dawn of a new era, a proper meat-and-two-veg Englishman riding in to save the day, until we get dicked in a qualfier and the two veg end up photoshopped onto his shoulders.

Rafa said he wants the job after Capello. I don't mind him.

I totally agree. While I think the team could be doing a lot, lot better, I'll always be watching.

3-0 to Spain I'm predicting. We will be extremely lucky to get a goal to be honest, and if we do it I'd imagine it will be from Spain slacking off after a couple of goals but I just don't see it.:p

Aside from perhaps Johnson and Milner I was fairly sure the other 9 were all going to start based on what has been released previously. Looks a highly plausible lineup to me, bookies have responded by slashing the odds on England from 5/1 to 9/2

England are still 4/1 on William Hill, Spain are 5/6.

I reckon it could be an entertaining game - going for a 3-1 Spain win.
