England vs The Netherlands & other International Friendlies ** spoilers ** [29th Feb 2012]

Go to make my lunch for tomorrow and Holland score 2... haha :D

Why did no one close Robben down at all?!

Cahill told Smalling to track Hunteleaar (Cahill was tracking robben) then the minute Hunt made a run Cahill forgot about a robben and ran after him. Amateur

You do know La liga and the premier league are FAR above international quality football? Likewise Parker has played for England for basically a year and been alongside Young and before Wilshire's injury, England's best three performers with ease.

What could possibly make a player good enough for the premier league, where Parker has put in great performances against any team in the league at some stage, but not good enough at international level?

Holland were great in the world cup against awful teams, were rather rubbish against Brazil, who themselves were pretty rubbish and Melo decided to take Brazil out of the competition and then Holland were utterly outplayed in the final and resorted to assault football.

International football hasn't for donkeys years, and from now on will NEVER beat out club level football. A team that plays 70 games, practices 5 times a week won't be outdone by a team that plays 10 games a year and practices 2-3 times in only 2-3 weeks in the season.

He's limited player who isn't that good at passing and is too OTT at tackling at the higher levels with football going the way that it is and everything being softly softly.

I learned long ago to never bother debating with you DM, your walls of text are too much for me. You have your opinion and I have mine there we go.

maybe barry wasn't getting the credit he deserved but he stormed through but there were still two central defenders to beat, he didn't need to as they let him get his shot in.

the 2nd goal, again, 2 defenders, 1 attacker, the attacker wins it! this is why smalling, jones, cahill, richards, are not ready for the step up. OK it was a great ball in but i think they should've done better.

here comes jones on for smalling. i like smalling and hope he's ok but he's not ready yet, i don't think jones is either.

Yeah it's embarrassing when they talk like about international football like it's the peak of the game. Most of the top teams in any of the big European leagues would walk over pretty much every national team. Half the reason Spain have done well is because they have so many players from one club on the field at the same time.

Not sure what is actually wrong with Smalling, he's barely moved a muscle but they've not strapped him in so assume no neck injury.

Must be a really bad concussion.

God damn that pic of Huntelaar sat with the mouth full of grass was pretty awful. Looked up and see him sat there thinking wtf just happened as I missed the goal.
Surprised he didn't black out.

Smalling bleeding like a stuffed pig :s

It's unfortunate to concede 2 so fast. Overall I think it's been a good performance and it's a very new side playing one of the best teams in the world.

Yes there's a few niggles to iron out but I'm quite hopeful of some good results in the Euros.
