England warm up games **Spoilers**

Good result, even though it was against a weak team. At least we're showing that we can keep attacking for the full 90 minutes.

As an aside, could the BBC find anyone more boring sounding than Alan Shearer to be a pundit? Cheer up man!

Thats ironic.

Not really ironic... games can have a lot of goals and still be boring.

And Crouch is playing really confidently but lets make no mistake he isn't ever going to be a great player, I just hope he doesn't get over hyped because then people will start hating him again when he dissapoints.

Nah it was ironic cause what he said completely bored me:D

And yes crouch is good but obviously you cant judge him by how he plays against a second rate team. But he still deserves a chance.

PETER CROUCH...

HERO.. LEGEND...

Another hero legendary performance against world class opposition today....

either way, peter crouch is becoming a bit of a good player... why have an unfit rooney in the team when crouch is fit/up to scratch.... and most importantly creating/scoring goals.

:p.. hope he plays well against paraguay

Anybody reckon that Sven is bluffing when he says that he will start Crouch against Paraguay?

Seems a bit premature to show your hand tactically, so far in advance of the game.

I think Shearer has been doing a decent job as a pundit. Infinitely preferable to Lee Dixon and Jamie 'I don't have a clue' Redknapp.

Anyone else notice Gary laughing when he was saying it made sense to bring Calamity James on? :D

Very well played from RoboCrouch and hopefully getting a goal will get Owen's morale up.

dont think he is bluffing
.he did name the 5 players that are taking the penalties if there was a shoot-out. thats great isnt it cos opposition goalies can study how they take their penalties.

Im still not getting the whole Crouch thing.
He did well for Lampards goal and took his own goal wonderfully but he didnt show me much else.
He was dropping deep and linking up play ok but he had so much space to operate in.
He didnt win many headers and I dont think he won one up against a defender with his back to goal.

As someone mentioned above Sol was awful , slow and cumbersome , decent forwards would have ran him ragged.

Owen was way off the pace and looked knackered but hes far from finished as someone says on an earlier page.

Quite entertaining overall.

It was a good match and england deserved to win, but it was sad to hear the English fans boo during the jamaican national anthem. Even more so when I remembered it was just a friendly! Fortunately the game seemed to be played in good spirits and it was a nice sending off for England but of course they will face much tougher opposition...well maybe not from trinidad and tobago...

I'd happily give you more;)

I counted one, but to be honest he doesn't have to win them just put the defender under pressure so he just nods it down into the midfield where we picked up the majority of ball anyway:)
He is alarmingly poor in the air for a tall lad though :o

Never underestimate a crowds influence on a game , booing a national anthem of a visiting team should not only be encouraged it should be compulsory!
If a crowd can put a visiting team under pressure or make them uneasy then its advantage England.
Im all for it.
