English Football [1st - 5th May 2010] **spoilers**

0 - 0 FT

Was end to end stuff in the 2nd half but not many genuine chances, fair result really.

how on earth did Rory miss that chance? We played well today, showed some passion. Shame its taken till the second to last game for it to happen. Big changes coming this summer me thinks..

No doubt Gary "the bitter ****" Lineker will make some arsey comment about Rory's miss on Match of the Day.

Was good to see Shawcross back to his best.

League One is looking like it'll be an awesome finish!

2nd - Leeds 83pts
3rd - Milwall 82pts
4th - Swindon 82pts

Theoretically, it's 1 from 5 as Huddersfield and Charlton could nick it, with a win for them and results going elsewhere!

Huddersfield are unlikely though, Millwall/Swindon HAS to be a draw, Leeds HAVE to lose, they HAVE to better Charlton's result and beat Exeter by 4 or more if Leeds only lose by 1.

You never know :p

Unfortunately after all my positive thinking, and hoping, I now believe Liverpoool will throw it away because they are guarnteed a Europa spot after yesterday :(

I wonder if Rooney will be in the squad today. As much as Liverpool fans would love to see themselves being tanked by Chelsea today, the players will see it much differently. But there is no chance of them getting a result anyway, Chelsea have had a weeks rest and are in real dominant goal scoring form and they'll face a Liverpool team missing their star striker, and with a squad who played 120 minutes less than 3 days ago. Chelsea 3-0.

The 0-0 draw with Blackburn a few weeks ago will haunt us after this season is over.

Honestly don't think most fans will want us to lose today. We still have a slim chance of fourth and that's far more important than stopping you winning number 19.

The unfortunate thing for both Man Utd and Liverpool is that they are relying on results of other games to determine how their season finishes. Maybe most Liverpool fans won't want to lose today but they certainly won't be crying when/if it does happen. The best case scenario I can hope for, is that seeing as it's the last home game of the season at Anfield and the fans will be in good voice, that Liverpool somehow get a draw out of the game. But there's more chance of Ferguson not giving players over 35 new contracts happening than a draw at Anfield today. :p

Also, hats off to Spurs who are really fighting for 4th place, what a goal from Huddlestone to secure 3 very vital points yesterday. I hope bringing Gomes into my FF team didn't get him injured at the end of the game. :p

Wigan might beat Chelsea...right? :(

As strange as it sounds, the one team in the league right now that have nothing to play for, Portsmouth, would probably give Chelsea a better game than Liverpool and Wigan. It's why I'm looking forward to the F.A. Cup final, Portsmouth have been unpredictable in the last few weeks, that of course might end as soon as it kicks off and Chelsea hammer them in the final. :p

got a free £10 first goalscorer bet on the sunderland v man utd. is rooney playing? i might stick it on berbatov, if he starts, he always gets a goal when you least expect it.
