English League Cup Third Round 21-22 September **Spoilers**

lol, I couldn't care less. A cup isn't a cup when Chelsea have won the league cup many times but have never won the Champions League. 'A Cup is a cup' is a load of tosh. You'd have to be delusional to not believe that one cup holds more significance than another. Let me ask you this

A) What would you rather win out of the Champions League / League Cup?

B) What is more Important?

As I said I can fully understand all the smaller clubs being passionate about it but honestly, I'm over it already.

Seeing as you've only ever won the League Cup, I don't see a reason for not going for it. It's a Cup, they all count.

No, I agree the League Cup doens't hold as much pedegree as for example the European Cup, it's not however an excuse, for a club of Chelsea's size to not have a go at it.

"Smaller" clubs :D

Personally I'd rather United win the Carling Cup than the FA Cup, simply because the run to the final sees the second string get a real run out, secondly a trip to Wembley and if possible a win can really give the team an added boost going into the final months of the season

The FA Cup these days just gets in the way of the importance of the title race and the Champions League

Like Dan said though you want to win every competition you're in

Chelsea & City out. Go on Brentford. :D

Agreed, it's good it finishes nice & early.

To be frank though, I'd rather they scrap the league cup and kept just the FA Cup. But allow it to finish earlier on in the season. Or at least finish the semi finals by Feb and keep the Final for May.

F.A. Cup only has so many "big name" players playing in it because that's what the F.A. decided to spend the grass roots budget on :p

They paid the Sky four clubs to play their name players so they could sell the T.V. Rights :p

Disgusted with the Liverpool performance. We've been outplayed by a League 2 side who have shown more adventure in attack and have managed more shots on goal. Getting outplayed by West Brom at home was embarrassing, this is just pathetic. The commentators on the radio have ripped Roy and the team to pieces.

Where you listening to it?

What? You're forgetting a few things Chelsea have won. I didn't say we shouldn't go for it, I said it's not top priority and I'm over it already.

I would personally be ecstatic if we didn't have to see some United players who we don't see every week get some game time and progress in a cup competition. It's a real chore.

Chelsea haven't won a European cup.

You want to win every game, clubs with squads as impressive as Chelsea / United et al should be able to do well in these competitions.

It's a cup, they all count :)

So because Chelsea have never won a European Cup they should focus more on the League cup? Good logic there.

I've said quite clearly three times now. You go in to every game with the intention of winning it (including tonight) but there's obviously more importance on CL / F.A Cup ties.

Okay then mate

Yes mate.
