English League & European Football [2nd Apr - 8th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

So Barca will be without Ibra, Pique, Puyol and possibly Iniesta? Could Arsenal be more fortunate?

LOL without Fab, Gallas, Arshavin amongst our other many injuries...we still wont have a chance of beating Barca at home...would be nice but i cant see it...i think we got extremely lucky to come back from 2 goals down to tie the first leg mainly because Barca were so tired and Puyol gave us a penalty.

Would be great if we do beat them though.

Not a bad performance today at all, especially JT, Malouda (again), Mikel & Zhirkov + the lino of course, cheers blind dude.
I've never seen a Man.U. side give the ball away & miss passes so often, great to watch.
I still think there's a twist or 2 to come in the PL yet though, Chelsea have to play Citeh & Spuds who are after that elusive CL spot and we can only really afford 1 draw from here on in + we have to play Liverpool who are still after that Interttoto/Europa/Fair Play slot thingy.

How on EARTH is that a foul on the keeper? They get far too much in their favour but that one is pathetic.

I guess you're talking about the Sunderland goal; watching it again, I've got a feeling he might have given it for Campbell holding Gomes after the challenge. The ref doesn't blow-up until well after the challenge and Gomes seemed to be making a bit of a fuss, suggesting Campbell may have been stopping him from getting back up.

WE were poor today, nearly as bad as the linesman:D ive no idea why neville plays so much i think he lost it a few years ago. Definatly not over though some very tough games for all the top 3 yet. Should be a good finish to the season.

I'm trying to be optimistic but staring at that fixture list and I just can't see how we can drop less points than Chelsea in that run in, both Spurs and City are going to be big asks of a team that seems to be suffering from a few key injuries and several players off form at the wrong time. We really need Giggs back on form ASAP, his form since returning from injury has been shaky at best.

Because SAF clearly has a soft spot for the "old guard".

If he didn't, he'd have put Scholes/Giggs/Neville out to pasture long ago.

Although having said that, Giggs has had something of a decent run of form recently, and i'd consider him one of our "better" midfielders at this point.

I dont fancy Messi Vs Campbell. It will be like a 14 year olf boy playing MW2 against a 45 year old. Its going to be embarassing.

I thought Arsenal did a fairly good job of keeping Messi quiet on Tuesday.

I do think the away fixture will be mission impossible. Although everyone wrote them off against Real Madrid a couple seasons back and they came away with a win.

Campbell wasnt playing though. I dont think he has the pace to cope as well although his positioning will be much better than Songs who stood in for the injured Gallas.

I know we arent likely to go through but I am pleased that it didnt end 2-0. At least this way we can still delude ourselves into thinking we have a chance of winning.

Maybe this will work out better than going in with an advantage. I could image if we were winning we would stand back and get slaughtered whereas this way we have nothing to lose and might pull out the result of the season.

Problem is with Gallas out you'd say it's unlikely Arsenal can keep a clean sheet at the Nou Camp, meaning at least two goals will be required of them. And with Van Persie, Arshavin and Fabregas all injured, plus Eduardo looking woefully out of sorts in front of goal, it's difficult to see where those goals are going to come from. Certainly a lot of pressure on the likes of Nasri, Rosicky and Walcott none of whom are prolific.

Isnt Abidal fit now? along with Marquez, Milito in CB role and I think against UTD they played Keita or Toure back there so defense isnt really much of an issue for them.

Alves ---- Marquez ---- Milito ----- Maxwell(Abidal)

They have enough replacements really.

No Ibra could be a blow but Messi, Henry, Pedro, Jeffron, Bojan, Johnathon all rather good. Bojan scored a screamer yesterday as well!

Really looking forward to it but I would have to pip Barca what with Arshavin/Fab being out two rather BIG players for them.

Theo up against Abidal would be interesting he has the pace to beat him (well he does most people) but its how well he does there!
