English League & F.A. Cup Football [10th Apr - 14th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Haha :D, put the game on silent to watch Stargate Universe because it was getting boring and Messi scores right away.

I didn't quite see the JT foul but thought it was Deco getting a 2nd yellow when Webb stopped the game.

Villa played well and if they weren't so crap in front of goal could easily have won.
It was comical at times with the pitch and people falling over, god knows why they still haven't got it right yet

FA are in charge of hiring people and building things, my guess is the "groundskeeper" is the nephew of someone on the board of the FA, rather than getting in the best groundskeeper around.

They really should get the ex-Arsenal groundskeeper who went to was it Real Madrid last summer, Arsenal had one of the best pitches at HIghbury and the emirates, he knows what he's doing.

i dont normally post on the sports forums "much" but i think yesterdays shocker deserved a bit of a moan..

to start with.. the clear cut penalty, no doubt, no arguments.. and a sending off/booking at the minimum for preventing a chance on goal. This could have changed the whollle scope of the game.

secondly, how many times does Deco have to comit fouls to be booked, i counted 5 before he saw a yellow. Even after he got the yellow, he continued, and didn't receive his 2nd yellow for another 2 bad tackles.

John Terry tackle.. the man is an absolute eejit. To comit a tackle like that on any player is appauling to say the least. To do it to a fellow England team mate, and one of the most promising players is even worse. Milner is extreamly lucky that his leg wasnt grounded, otherwise that would have been a career ender. If you watch the replay his knee actually bends, its horrific.
JT had no want for the ball, went straight at the player. Malicious and unnecessary. no doubt a sending off... but wait, its Chelsea.
Like father like son eh? sniff sniff, both dirty buggers

For all incidents, he was stood in direct view.. theres just no excuse.
How on earth this Referee is going to the World Cup i will never know. will we have more embarassment like we did with Graham Poll?

Media will no doubt get what they wanted though, a Spurs vs Chelsea final. how exciting. i really hope Portsmouth pull something out fo the bag i really do.

/rant

Also, awesome work by Ross County, really impressive!

Psss, just to let you know, it's the football league, not English league ;)

No it isn't. The Football League only consists of 3 divisions, the Premier League is a separate entity altogether. For the sake of a shorter thread title, I'm going with 'English League' instead of 'Premier League and The Football League'. :p
