English League & F.A. Cup Football [10th Apr - 14th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

I hope we finish third now, worse thing to happen would for us to win the title and Fergie to say "look everything is fine", perhaps a third place will shock him/them into changes.

I can't say I disagree with you there.

Something needs to be done, aside from Rooney, Valencia and the United defence, we don't have great quality/consistent players. Giggs, Scholes, Neville, VDS are all at the end of their footballing careers and if you take them out of the team, we're left quite bare and relying on inconsistent footballers.

Man City v Man Utd
Man Utd v Tottenham
Sunderland v Man Utd
Man Utd v Stoke

Chelsea v Bolton
Tottenham v Chelsea
Chelsea v Stoke
Liverpool v Chelsea
Chelsea v Wigan

Tottenham v Arsenal
Wigan v Arsenal
Arsenal v Man City
Blackburn v Arsenal
Arsenal v Fulham

Both have a couple of tough fixtures left, still a lot can happen. Don't forget Arsenal as well with probably the best run in out of the three. Tottenham v Arsenal will be massive on Wednesday.

I for once agree with you

Winning the title this season would really paper over some cracks

This will go down to the wire with Chelsea winning by a point.

You don't think, even just a little bit, that this is down to how he is being told to play?

He has the talent. Ferguson just isn't using it, whether that be down to his tactics, or not partnering him with another striker to compliment what he brings to the game.

nope, because even when we took off macheda he was still in the same places.

hes dropping off way to much, instead of sitting on the defense, getting the ball, either out tricking the opposing player, or playing one of the wide men in. instead he drops off, picks the ball up, paces around, gets annoyed, plays a little ball, throws his arms up in the air. its been going on all season.

i dont believe for a second fergie would tell him to drop deep all the time. hes useless there, we've seen it all season.

even then any chance he does get he fluffs completely. £30 million strikers should not be tamely hitting it straight at the keeper. another thing hes done all season and last, tame fluffed shots.

John O'Shea needs to be sent to the glue factory aswell, hes a decent player for a team like blackburn, but man utd where you need to keep the game flowing with precise quick passing, he just looks like a meat wall.

Are you guys wanting rid of Berbatov in the summer then or do you think he may justify another season? Without the scouse saviour Rooney, United do look a completely different team and Berbatov just doesn't look like he can lead the line at all in his absence.

Still, I think you still have a chance, couple more twists may be in store. It's also going to be interesting to see how Arsenal finish the season with their run-in.

Nice one Blackburn, we can afford to lose a game now

The way Utd are playing you can afford to lose two!!!

(and Arsenal are likely to drop at least two more points)

If we get £15m for him I would be happy at this point (even if he cost us an extra £7m+ a season) any less than that and Utd are being mugs - he is still a decent player, Utd just cant seem to use him correctly

We'll have him back for £7m ;)
Spurs mugged Utd once, to do it again would add insult to injury

(personally never considered the Carrick transfer as too expensive considering what he gave us at the time , and two very decent and successful seasons)

Started the game well, but gone a bit pants the last 10 mins or so. IV got the feeling we are going to balls up today & then can totally forget any slim chances we have got of getting 4th spot.
