English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Just watching the Pompey Vs Chelski game and I feel sorry for Pompey as the ref was so poor. The first goal shouldn't had be allowed as O'Hara was fouled before hand, then Malouda should've been sent off for a nasty elbow on Rocha (who ended up stretchered to hospital with a fractured cheekbone). Then Sturridge elbows Tommy Smith and nothing happens.

Again dirty Chelsea get's away with it. I really hope Man Utd or Arsenal win the league and that smile on John Terry's face is truly wiped off!! :D

Top 4 of the Top 5 in that list maybe tells a story... also I'd say Fulham play better football than Citeh or Liverpool.

Spurs are the butt of many jokes about claiming to have a strong squad, embarrassingly by Keane maybe even the strongest squad. Ok I don't think that but we're up there and considering our immense injury list and currently sitting 4th in the Prem and semi's FA Cup despite only having 11 fit out field players.... are Spurs finally starting to live up to their promises?

Auwwwf!

Its looking proper close now at the top of the prem. Being that ManU and Chelsea still have to play, and going by the rest of the games (I just can't see Man City beating Man U), i'm getting a naff feeling that Man U are gonna end up top...

I think you're definitely the favourites for that spot now, mostly by virtue of being there though. Trouble is, you (and City and Villa too, I believe) have some tough fixtures left. Tougher than Liverpool, for definite.

EDIT: That was in response to Chong. As regards to the top three, it does feel like the winner of the Man Utd/Chelsea game will take the title now, but it's still so random who teams have been dropping points too. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope really.

As I said at the weekend - I expect all the top three clubs to drop more points before the end of the season , as to when and how many God knows

Funny results - if anything it highlights why how Liverpool having had an utterly woeful season are still in with a shout at 4th - the other contenders just don't have the consistency - one of at least City, Spurs or Villa should have been running away with it by now.

Pretty sweet Chelsea win too with the GD++++, I can't wait for Easter weekend it's going to be fantastic in terms of results :)

Disgusting elbows on two Pompy players. Let's see the FA turn a blind eye to it though. Players getting their legs snapped in two, players getting their noses and cheek bones broke. Yet the FA would rather punish players from incidents where players have not been caused any physical injuries. Idiotic!

Yup, teams suck to much this year in general and the bottom teams are so wildly unpredictable. Like Sunderland, catch them when they just couldn't string two passes together, or either side of that run. Everton, Arsenal got lucky playing them so early, later on a much much stronger Everton almost beat us and deserved to aswell as taking points off other teams.

No ones really been a consistant team this year, lots of the bottom teams have gone huge long spells being truly awful, only to have a run of a few good games.

As for all the Rooney or Messi talk, Drogba has now scored 3 less goals than Rooney for the season, but has taken no penalties, Drogba 30 goals, Rooney 33 but 4 of them penalties. Considering how much more time Drogba spends on the floor rolling around, his minutes standing up he's probably more effective than Messi and Rooney put together :p

Drogba really has been superb this season, only one team in Inter, has managed to defend against him well, and Ferdy with a dodgey back and Vidic whose not been fantastic in the biggest games in the past couple years. I see Drogba having more of a chance against Utd's centre backs than Rooney against Chelsea's, even more so with Cech back in behind them. Though Zirkov/Malouda as a left back really isn't working well and Ivanovic is out for the game isn't he?

Neville who for me has been great the past few games, experience wins over pace any day of the week, and Evra maybe make up an overall stronger back 4 than Chelsea have with all their decent full backs injured.
