English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Another awesome result for Everton last night, it really shows how good we are when most of our players are fit that in the past few months we can beat Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City twice, as well as going away to Arsenal and being very unlucky not to win it (even Wenger admitted we should have won!). If only we'd not had that horrendous injury list at the start of the season, we'd comfortably be in the mix for 4th place, and probably comfortably ahead of Liverpool as well.

Not the most up to date but i wouldnt say they were that dirty

If they get away with the fouls without being punished then its hard to tell who is a `dirty` team. Its more down to the ref and whether they are having a good or bad day.

Ive seen loads of yellows that shouldnt have been and seen some yellows that should have been reds. Does that mean that they are a nicer team if they dont get caught or punished? I think the top teams influence those decisions more so but that doesnt mean they are dirtier or nicer teams.

Too right since xmas only manu have had a better run.

For the life of me I cannot understand how we have managed to keep hold of Arteta. He can play anywhere along the middle or as an AMF he would fit right in to a united or arsenal side. I will be surprised if he is still an everton player next season. To a smaller degree the same is true of Cahill.

The best two players at the club for the last 10 years I'd say.

It is a mystery, but in every interview he does you can really tell that he loves the club. Same with Cahill.

Spurs played fantastic in the second half last night, very impressed. It's like Redknapp put drugs in their water bottles during the half time talk. :p

I still don't understand why Moyes was sent to the stands, he didn't do anything. I think Mancini is losing the plot and I'm sure Mark Hughes is laughing into his cornflakes every morning at how bad City have been. Everton are in fantastic form, Arteta is a classy player.

David James shouldn't be anywhere near the world cup squad, in fact his passport should be confiscated this summer.

But knowing England squads of the past - instead he will be given a 1st Class (neh maybe even a private jet) to S.A curtousy of the FA

PS Well done Everton, a well deserved win last night - if only you had been playing this way much earlier in the season you could have been stealing the 4th place from Liverpool (now that would have made this season truelly special!!!)

They are fine players and I always wonder how they are still there.
Only reasons I can think of off hand is that Arteta is a bit slight and Tim Cahill doesnt have enough on the ball ability even though he does really well in behind the striker.

Calamity James. I'm so glad Pompey ****** us around in the January transfer window so we gave up on James and snatched Begovic instead.

Looking at the remaining fixtures, despite our current good position, it's looking all too much like we won't be able to hold onto it.

We NEED to beat City to have any hope of fighting them off IMO. I can't see us getting anything from the Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal games. The race for 4th could be won and lost between 4 of us on goal difference.

With Carvalho out for four weeks - you might do better than you think :)
