English League Football [6th - 10th Feb 2010] **spoilers**

Urm no, that was very atypical Fabregas at the end. He's usually very calm and composed, I really don't know what came over him. It's not nice to see either.
Sorry I meant when he was sticking his nose in before the freekick. That handball was just pathetic refereeing, something I'm getting sick of saying now. Video footage, the day can't come soon enough IMO. Its every-single-game now something match changing is ignored due to incompetence.

Well, that's a relief. After these four games I said I'd settle for 6/12 points, and had we not hit the woodwork twice against Villa we'd have had them. I never thought we'd be going for the league, but will happily settle in the doldrums of third and let other teams fight around us. We certainly have a chance, we have Spurs and City to play but apart from them and maybe Fulham we should be ok to pick up a few points.

The sooner the freekick area gets sorted out the better in my opinion. I am sick of the wall encroaching and the ball being moved feet forward. The whole crowding the referee situation is sickening. It really does the game no good if the entire team surround and berate him. A rugbyesque system with only the captain and offending player being able to talk to the referee would improve the game dramatically.

The only reason I can think that Howard Webb didn't give a freekick/penalty against Fabregas is that the player was stopping the ball hitting his face.

Wahoo - a point is better than nothing - who wouldnt settle for 4 points off Man U in a season :). Other results were excellent too :D

ps3ud0

I love Graeme Souness, half the time he has a look on his face as if he doesn't even want to be in the studio. He always looks enraged! :o

I'm still not confident that we are back in the title race. It was a great result for us and apart from one or two iffy teams we've got an easy run to the end of the season. If the others drop points then who knows what will happen. We need to sharpen up in goal that's for sure, I wonder if we'll see RVP before the end of the season. Not only that, but Wenger really has to buy a new forward, if only for cover. Marouane Chamakh's contract runs out in the summer so if he really wants to come here, and if Wenger wants him still then he should be able to come on a free.

Whether Gerrard will ever start doing anything
He's been doing plenty. Tonight he pulled out of numerous 50/50 tackles, berated teammates for misplacing passes and on at least three occasions let Arsenal players run right past him without even bothering to track them. I'd happily strip him of the captaincy and give it to Mascherano right now.

I would have done it a long time ago tbh.

I just hope those rumours in the echo about those Indian billionairy guys comes off. I dont care now, its just too depressing watching this pile of **** Liverpool side :(

Way WAAY too many average players and its squeezing the life out of the top quality ones.

RvP won't be back until next season I reckon, and that's even with the motivation to play for the Dutch this summer. (Knowing our luck he'll come back for the WC and then get injured again ).

Graeme Souness is a funny one, should be a lot happier considering the money pundits can get. More than at least 5 years ago I learnt that Phil Thompson earns £9000 per evening's work.

the race for 4th is going to be really interesting. I'm a bit bemused at how liverpool chose to play tonight after seeing the performances of Arsenal over the last couple of weeks.

Is that for real? Imagine what that **** Redknapp gets? I hate him, he loves sitting on that fence.

Possibly was the wrong way to go but had Carra not got injured then I'm sure we'd have got a result.

The second Degen came on we looked all over the place defensively; constantly bombing forward and getting caught out of position and then for the goal he's stood in no mans land, allowing Diaby a free run and header.

Who knows, had we taken the game to them from the start, as we did once we went behind we may have got something out of the game or we may have got beat by 2 or 3.
