Do you really blame us? At the time of the FA Cup, we wanted to get to the semi of it, so rested some players because we have a small squad, then we rested more before Europa League games, because up until probably the knockout stages, players even said it was like a practice game before the Premiership then the priorities turned.

Happy with 12 considering what we've had to try manage this season, a few extra players would have helped this season I reckon, but satisfying considering.

Edit: Congratulations to Chelsea though, some brilliant performances this season.
 
Yeah but tbh teams like wigan and stoke have one game, all you have to do is play round the cloggers in midfield, stop them from lumping it into you're final third, while driving it forward with as many bodies as posible. Sooner rather than later their big athletic types that lap up any lack of invention (making them look like worldclass types), crumble in a hurry due to their lack of tallent, que 5 or 6....

And nope Wigan don't play like swansea do or did under martinez.

It's like said, men against boys... Chelsea realy have been the stomping on heads types this year, against any team, worth the title.

You're sounding a bit bitter :p Course there was pressure, you whole season lies on one game, just because they demolished them in the end you could see Chelsea were nervous at the start, they got a goal just at the right time.

Same with Leeds yesterday, in theory it should have been an easy win, never the case though when there is the pressure of winning the league/promotion etc.

Well I am a little bitter, I wouldn't want to be the type of fan who just said "well they deserved it" when it came down to such a tight finish, it could have been either team really, don't think either deserved it any more than the other. Both played really well at times and really badly at others. I congratulate them for an excellent 2010 in particular and finishing with more points but I can't see how they deserve it any more :)

Well done Chelsea. Been the stronger team throughout the season. Physically intimidating in all departments and most players can play the ball as well. Best team won it in the end.

As for us we can point to not having a settled back four for quite a few games but the sad fact is we still had one of the best defensive records so that would be a cop out. It's the midfield that has not been the best in the country, second is our rightful place this season.

A few positives though. Some of the forward play from Rooney has been sublime. The improvement from Nani in the second half of the season really should give him the platform to be a more consistent player next year.
