English League Football [8th - 12th May 2010] **spoilers**

Well done to Chelsea, thoroughly deserved in my book.:)

Next season will be much harder though, as we will strengthen our squad, as will City and spurs.

Thanks and no. ;) This was achieved having Essien sidelined for big parts of the season. If Essien remains fit next year and Chelsea can secure a new solid CB, either from within or externally, the competition should be happy for any points dropped.

Congrats to Chelsea they really won the title in style, Drogba golden boot and smashed the record for goals scored in a league season.

I was surprised to see they had won all 6 of the ties against the big teams and still only finished 1pt ahead of Man UTD, it just goes to show how consistent Man UTD are which is what you really need most to win the league.

Well done Chelsea.

Won the league without really being amazing yet still being amazing enough in a very poor Premier League season.

Man Utd being poor all year end up 2nd on the last day of the season, says it all.

Utd selling best player in the world and still only coming 2nd by only a point (ok two incl the goal diff) is pretty impressive - even in an average season

Hopefully forces the board to invest in some decent players over the summer (as stated above, Chelsea will get stronger by having less injuries /no ACoN before any player investment they are bound to do), as will Arsenal, Spurs and Citeh

Utd still have the best defence in the league (and doing the treble over Citeh is reward enough after all their comments in the last year)

.

We scored a Hundred & three goals, A Record.
We beat our Three main rivals Home & Away.
We Stopped Man U getting Four in a Row.
I think that's Amazing myself. :D

We Are the Champions. :D

yea but its lost its shine because it has been on for the last few weekends. the big news everyone was waiting for was a man utd come back...but its actually been quite a muted championship really...

in terms of the press exposure i mean...

if UTD won it, there would have been a media frenzy.. as it is its the odd fleeting, 'well we expected it and chelsea finally delievered on it'

If I hold a coin up you will see tales where as I see Heads but we are Both looking at the Same coin. ;)

i might see tails, all i hear are you tall tales about this imaginary fanfare;)

nah hats off to chelsea, we had it and threw it away. chelsea remained strong and won the games they needed to. all in all an anti climax for man utd fans...but at least we won, the league cup!!!

Congratulations to Chelsea, there can be no confusion that they deserved it. It was a good title race that went to the final game of the season, a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for both sets of fans. Can't wait until next season and who buys who during the summer months. Drogba and Lampard have shown that age means diddly squat, their goalscoring has been immense this season.

It's all up to Ferguson to change the team dynamic from being reliant on a sole striker and to bring in some midfielders who can score goals and be more creative. Scholes has been fantastic these last few weeks, he has really dictated our play well like he did years ago. England would be a much better team if he somehow reversed his retirement decision for the World Cup.

How small time were the Stoke fans at Old Trafford yesterday? What a joke.
