English League Football ** spoilers ** [11th - 15th September 2010]

Well of course but they aren't winning 2-1, 2-0 but are dominating the teams and showing a killer instinct to keep pressing and scoring until the end, +16 GD after 4 games is still pretty impressive regardless of the opposition. (even the Stoke 2-0, a potential banana skin, was pretty comfortable by all accounts)

They didn't by any means brush West Ham aside, 3-1, West Ham missed a header from less than a yard that should have been a goal, had one disallowed, Obina could have had a hattrick, they dominated several parts of the game. Without a truly shocking effort to save a ridiculously tame freekick and a dissallowed goal and the worst miss of the season(still Malouda's one actually, simple side foot is easier to tap in than a rising header, just) and West Ham could have won the game. It wasn't even close to one sided, if West ham have the slightest bit of confidence Chelsea could have been quite easily on the wrong side of that result.

Barca are hilariously bad in defence, Pique for the second goal pretty much did everything he could do to get out the way, Hercules could have scored another 3 really, should have scored at least one more, awful, awful, pathetic effort by Trezuget.

Real Madrid, are balls, Ozil isn't the player people thought he was, Khedira was pretty crap in the world cup , and continues that way, Benzema is barely a footballer, Ramos can't defend, Marcelo can't defend and is, considering he's a left back, one of the most selfish players I've ever seen. Alonso really hasn't looked very good while at Real either, Ronaldo and Higuane are good, but seem to be lacking confidence/trying too hard.

Seems like a lot of teams are been distracted by CL football. Barca, Milan, Roma are losing games that they would normally be expected to win with ease and Inter/Real struggling to wins.

Wow Karl Henry broke somebodies leg, what an absolute shocker, he's not that type of player.

He really isn't that type of player, you have based you opinion on the fact he gave Barton a good kicking.

I have watched him most weeks from when he first joined and he is a tough tackling midfielder, that is all.

Yup, although if we had a strict ref, he would have been sent off for repetitive fouls. Probably the same story for a couple of their players, especially Mancienne.

Good result for the Arsenal:D...happy with the 4-1 win...at least keeps us on pace with Chelski.

Couldnt help but laugh at money bags City drawing 1-1 today....definitely proving that Mancini isnt the right man for the job and neither spending all that money is going to get them trophies...still early in the season but they arent doing as well as others have expected them to.

Always makes me happy to see the Spuds drop points...dont think this season they are going to do so well...think last season was a flash in the pan and dodgy 'arry is soon realising that....sad to hear Modric went off with an injury as hes a pretty decent player.

Utd and Everton was a good game though...did manage to watch that but they should have walked away with 3 points really...some terrible defending. Utd arent going to win the title this season unless they get very lucky.

All in all a good weekend for Arsenal.

I find it bizarre that the media seem determined to blame Man Utd's slip up as down to Rooney not play. I'm pretty sure he's not a defender, so I can't see that he would have helped that much.

At the same time Fergie's post match interview seemed to focus on us not taking chances....pretty sure that wasn't the problem either

Did Lineker call him Van Da Fart on MOTD just now?

Also not sure how people had a go at Gallas, what I saw it was Kaboul at fault for the goal, with the high ball coming down Cudicini with arms up failed to beat the West Brom player and Kaboul stood completely still just waiting for the keeper to deal with it, a tiny bit of strength and awareness and Kaboul gets in the way and the West Brom player doesn't get anywhere near the ball.

EDIT:- Catermole is such a moron.
