English League Football ** spoilers ** [22nd - 25th October 2010]

Awesome 3-0 and looks like a solid win...indifferent first half as Fabregas should have scored...actually if he had then we would be 4-0:p...but good to see Bender get a goal...isnt exactly a beautiful game played today but as long as we can win ugly then im a very very happy bunny:D.

Fabianski has been absolutely immense today between the sticks but our defence even when one man up is still dire...cant wait for Verminator to get back as we are missing him.

Looks like my Citeh mate owes me £50 as well lol.

FT 3-0

Good performance, the red card helped a lot but credit to city for the way they played with 10 men. Fabianski earns our first clean sheet away in months (i think) and it's good to see some strikers return to the team!

Good performance by Arsenal but they really need to watch their card count. They're second behind Wolves in the Fairplay league now and had Eboue seen red last weekend and Song been sent off today they would have the worst record. Could cost them a few players later in the season.

I'm delighted with that result, as are the majority of Arsenal fans I'd expect. Nice clean sheet from Fabianski and I'm sure that will do loads for his confidence, in his current form I wouldn't actually be bothered if Almunia came back even though I do like the guy. Nice to see us up into second place on goal difference. Great result, the red card played a big part of course but City always looked as if they could break at some point, a few chances stick in my mind and that's the lofted ball to Silva who just missed a touch on it by a couple inches and the wide shot by Richards. There were others but those could easily have gone City's way with a little bit of luck but I do think we deserved the win.

What a great game. Well done to Arsenal :)

Honestly though no-one can take anything away from us for that performance. We really died off after the second but considering that came in the 70th odd minute, we gave as good as we got with 10 men right uptill that point, we still didn't stop attacking right till the end which is such a fantastic thing to see as a City fan. Real shame we couldn't have had 11 on 11 for the whole thing, though I doubt it would have been as interesting.

Marching on!

It sucks, the commentators got it spot on earlier today: "Man City will be looking to take advantage of any Arsenal foul", and they certainly ruddy well did. I still find it bizarre how smaller men can inflict an equally punished amount of pain (if that makes any sense).

You didn't get lots of cards because our players were looking for it. You got lots of cards because your team was jittery and making stupid tackles. It was only a short period of time though (about 10 minutes?) and everything seemed to calm down after that.

That's gamesmanship, it's **** but everybody does it, especially after a very early sending off. I no doubt would want Arsenal to do it should they have been in City's situation today.

My point was though, we're still equally punished when the range of fouls are so different.

Haha at Cesc, asking why he's MOTM after missing a pen! :D

LOL classic stuff by him:D

But to be fair Hart made a very good save on his penalty...just chuffed we won albeit ugly but a win is a win as we have dropped points in the last few games of the season so was nice to see us win comprehensively and especially against Citeh.

But honestly even against 10 men we didnt defend all that well...2nd half i thought we started out pretty rubbish but soon as we got the 2nd goal that settled our nerves and we started dominating as we normally do. But our defence is really weak...cant wait for Verminator to come back although it might be some time before we see him back in action.

Fabianski should have been MOTM for his outstanding saves so i can kind of see where Fabregas is going with his comment but as usual, he was solid and was unlucky to have his penalty saved but thats not taking anything away from Hart...who was superb when he made that save....could have easily been 4-0 but sadly wasnt meant to be.

All i can say is a massive phewwww at the win today...that was a tough game.
