i think obertan is ahead in the pecking order.

its not really fair on someone who might well ahve worked his socks off pre season to get userped by someone whos played 1 reserve and a few mins in the league cup? it would probably destroy the ambition to work hard and get a call up if bebe just got given the nod before anyone else.
 
Well either of them then, the problem being that neither of them are being chosen, even for the bench. If Nani had to come off we'd be ******, he's our only attacking threat so far.

They COULD play there, but Obertan never gets in the squad let alone a game.

Why put the time and effort into getting someone who wants to go elsewhere?

1. You don't know he would have cost less than those two. Taking into account wages and not knowing how much of the other two is up front, he could have been a lot more expensive.

2. You have no idea we could have potentially got him, perhaps he rejected us?

Ah, well most of the news I saw said it was Man Utd OR Real Madrid.

There are other players out there who would have loved to join and as many people have predicted, we might end up paying a heavy price because of it, but hopefully not!

It would be fine if like Neville we just kept him around as an experienced head in the dressing room and maybe an option on the bench occasionally. It's the fact that Fergie keeps starting him and expecting him to be able to beat people and get crosses in like he was ten years younger :(
