Entanet possible peak time change

I think Enta are throttling now too, My downloads run at 700kbs but after a few minutes drop to 240. My friend is getting the exact same problem, this is from binary newsgroups as well as other sources. Is anyone else having the same issues?

nope full steam ahead at the moment fastest its been for ages 770kbs :D

At the end of the day, I bet they'd prefer you to leave. Users who use 'their' whole allowance are costing them more than you pay.
Then they are miss selling their products no?
If they advertise and let you PAY for up to xxx GB per month you should be able to use xxx GB per month
Poor management if what you say is true
Who in their right mind pays for say 330 GB pm and only uses 50 GB, i mean come on

looks like they `slipped` this in via the back door:mad:
What a nice New Years Day present
THANK YOU UKFSN:(
Off to let Jason know what i think of it now,
Then to get put on the cheepest package while i look for a better ISP

So much for dropping the plans a few weeks ago:mad:

Not heard anything more about this but the times for peak have now been changed on the ukfsn site :(

(Happy New Year)

From UKFSN:

The product has not been changed as yet however Enta have indicated that they intend to make a change like this and I don't feel it would be honest for me to continue to sell it based upon the current product description when I know that the peak/offpeak hours are likely to change within the next couple of months.

When the changes that Enta will be making are clear and confirmed I will contact all UKFSN customers with full details including details of when the changes will take effect. For now there are no changes in effect.

I'm sure we can all agree that he is doing the right thing by advertising the new hours early.

I do think Entanet have changed since the summer with many key people who run and maintain the network leaving.

Entanet seem to have stopped communicating with their customers - which is one of the main reasons why I joined them. I never see any of their employee's helping out on thinkbroadband like they use to.
I now have my MAC from ADSL24 and I will be migrating elsewhere, especially with this new peak time change. I'm sure I will go over 30GB with these new changes and I am not willing to pay anymore than £20 a month.

As far as i know the times havn't changed yet, and when they do change, those aint necessarily going to be the new times, Jasons just changed the times on the website as theres no point leaving them as they are when they are going to change shortly.

I suppose when the new times are known, he will update accordingly.

Apparently Enta are now throttling, if your usage is to high (even though you are still within your allowance) they are putting you on 1mb, huge thread on ADLSguide about it.

That explains why i have only been getting 1mb download with 3200 synch
Definitely gonna be looking for a new isp with them pulling this S***

I've only just joined titanadsl(had a good 2.5 months offline) and i'm being throttled already, had a good 1.5 years with ADSL24 but i think it's time to leave enta.

Just been looking at o2 and Vodafone
No statement i can find on what is`fair usage`
Anyone know what they apply to this?

Wow, if that is true then Enta really have gone down the pan.

Yea that really does suck. ADSL24 was good to me, but luckily O2/Be* got unbundled at my exchange so im now with them.

Good customer service, but these new changes are gonna bring nothing but bad things to Entanet.

So where is everyone moving to?

I'm with titanadsl and haven't had any major problems, but if there throttling and changing peak times, i need to move.

UKOnline are pretty good, as far as I can tell there's no peak/offpeak or download cap rubbish, just a good old fashioned "take the **** and we'll be in contact".

don't swear. FF.

I moved from UKFSN onto the O2 home access package via the F&F deal. I was connected last Wednesday and have done quite a bit of downloading since then, the only downside is that if you're into gaming I wouldn't bother unless you like interleaving as they won't turn it off. I've tried a couple of times to be told that under no circumstances will they turn off interleaving. Other than that they're great and I'm getting around 650k a sec on my downloads from usenet.
