** EPIC ATI 6970 DEAL: MSI Twin FrozR III 6970 ONLY £269.99 Inc. VAT **

If you do end up RMA'ing it be aware they only refund £12.50 of the postage, i sent mine back in the box it came in which cost £17.95 via royal mail only to be told they'll only refund £12.50 of it.

if it is faulty then ocuk HAVE to refund the FULL cost of delivery back to them(along with the full cost of the item including the delivery cost from ocuk to you), I'm not fully up with the legal stuff so can't quote you what particular 'act' and what not but I'm sure some one with better knowledge will post on here.

if you're returning it under the dsr then ocuk only refund the delivery cost you paid when you bought the item, you have to cover the delivery cost back to ocuk.

this card is looooooong, not sure it'll fit in my 902 after measuring it up, dont think the power connectors will have room....HDD bay doesnt seem to be designed to accomodate this piece of hardware invading it's space

what cases have those who purchased this got them in?

The misses has posted mine back. Special Deliv. More than £12.50 but wanted to make sure they got in time to sort another out before the end of the year.

We all seem to have some sort of issue with this model? Any reason for this?
Royal mail said i couldnt send mine special delivery, said had to use there parcelforce service.

Hmm...this is the first time I've had to RMA to OcUK. The competition sends a courier to collect.

I asked but told otherwise. On non computer goods such as the odd fish tank filter that's been sent which is the wrong and theyve sent the courier to drop the proper one off and collect the other one which i think is what OCUK should be doing really.

I have a Thermaltake kandalf case, i can move my drive bays to the top of my case to fit one of these in.

Hi,

Slightly annoyed as i've just received my replacement card which is now working a treat but i sent back everything i.e the games codes. One of the reasons i went for this card. The replacement arrived with no game codes and Sales have now told me they don't have anymore to send out. If i knew this i would have not sent them back!!
I'm on a mailing list but sales guy advised i won't likely get the codes now.

What can i do about this?

Regards,

Carl

Try posting in the customer service area and I'm sure 5UB or one of the other guys will sort this out for you. :)

BTW, I just got this card today (but haven't had chance to fit it yet, dammit!). I got the Deus-Ex code in the box but where was your DiRT 3 code? I wasn't sure if you have to email someone to get it?

I probs ought to take my own advice and post in the customer service area! ;)

I noticed the Deus Ex card but didn't look any further for Dirt 3 to be honest as the card failed within 5mins. I assumed it was in the box somewhere.

Phone or Forum it shouldn't matter really?!

I agree it shouldn't matter, however whenever anyone has a problem it is recommended to post in the customer service area.

I've heard of mix ups happening over the phones before so by posting there you'll be sure of getting the issue dealt with quickly. :)

What was wrong with your original card btw?

over heat i think. I was playing SWTOR for only 5mins and then the screen appeared with black/green lines. Didn't boot correctly after that in to windows....kept appearing with score marks on the screen.

I'll post in there and see what they say

Chaps

Does anyone know if one of these will have enough room to have an X-Fi Fatal1ty installed underneath it? Reason I ask is that my current 5870 is already a tight squeeze as it is and I don't want to resort to the onboard sound really. I have 2 more PCI-E slots underneath where the SC is but I'm thinking it'll get in the way of the bottom connections - Mobo is an Asus P6TD Deluxe.

Pic kinda illustrates what I mean.

i cannot see your picture as im @ work and the image is blocked, however i measured my 6970 the other day and it was 31cm long, 15cm wide and around 6cm back to front. hope this helps. oh and if you do get one get the tested Lightening card , it is worth the extra cash/

I'd be more worried about the length of the card if I were you, think the sound card should be fine.

From what I've heard the TFIII is 2cm wider than a reference 6970, so where the little bolt is on the left near the PCI bracket screw, I imagine it'll be in the way of that. Although the 6970 Lightning is the same as a reference card! (Dimension wise)
