** EPIC ATI 6970 DEAL: MSI Twin FrozR III 6970 ONLY £269.99 Inc. VAT **

Think I'm going to order one of these and a new psu, just trying to find out if i need any adapters to run two dvi monitors of the one card.

Just placed my order on this :) a lot of thought into if i should wait for the new ones, or go down the cheaper gtx560ti but as my last card lasted me 3 years hoping this will do the same.

no adapters needed for just 2 monitors, its if you want to run 3 monitors in eyefinity that you have to have 1 connected to the displayports of the card thus if you don't have a monitor with displayport you need an adapter.

hope your case can fit it as its a loonnngggggggg card.

I'm not much over the minimum required PSU, is this likely to cause any issues when overclocking it a little?
If i remember correctly my psu is a coolermaster or Thermaletake 550w

And going forwards if i was to Crossfire these would i need 1kw PSU? As this is at the top of my budget for a graphics card i cant see a 7950/7970 being around this price for quite some time. Poor old 8800gtx is getting hammered on bf3 when people let of smoke grenades and im on low settings :(

no need for 1kw for xfire, 750/850w is what you need. if you were planning on tri/quad fire then you'd want 1kw. check what the exact make/model of your current psu is.

if you have the budget then you may as well get http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-005-XF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat= if you don't mind its not modular

oh and what case do you have? the graphics card is 310mm long so you need to check your case can handle it.

You won't be dissapointed, a far superior card to any 560Ti. :)

i have a Thermaltake VA9003BWS Kandalf Full Tower (got this full title from when i ordered from here back in march 07 for £118, might have to move my drive bays a little to get it to fit. all else fails i'll get the angle grinder out and make some adjustments! haha

i wasn't sure when i got it out of the box so plugged it in booted up came on here and noticed the pictures do not match! I've raised a webnote thingy. Hopefully they'll send the right card out if it is the wrong one without any hassle.

Oh dear!

Hope you get it sorted always4lora. Surely that can't be allowed? False advertising springs to mind.

To think that I was considering this choice of card to go with a nice new system for xmas has put me off now. If it's not the Twin Frozr III then I'm not interested.
